Nice course, but tough for a new golfer.
The course is very well kept, and provides a nice mix of prairie and forest holes. Water only comes into play on #4 (creek) and #7 (but only if you massively overthrow). The creek was pretty stagnant and plant-filled, so it would be a tough place to...

Ok, with potential to get better
The grounds are well mowed, and there are a couple of holes that make good use of the property's slope, but there are also a couple that are just "throw uphill" and "throw downhill". One of the holes uses some new trees to force a dogleg - in 10 years, that will...

Good starter course, needs to grow
Like its sister Dane County course Vallarta-Ast, it's immaculately maintained, with good tee signage showing the hole.
The layout does make good use of the hillside it's built on and around.
It's short. If you've got good accuracy off the tee, this is the...

Lucky to live nearby
I'm relatively new to the game, and I like that the short tees on the course give me a fair opportunity at making par with the occasional birdie, and that when I want to stretch myself, I've got the back tees available to make the course even longer. I'm sure people with...
My Vibrams are too new to assess the durability of the ink, but I have a few of these from work:

They survive 255F water in a pressure cooker where regular sharpies fail, so I know the ink's a little more tenacious...
I'd say thumbs-down raters need to provide feedback as to why they're thumbs-downing, unless the review is clearly a spam/troll (in which case it goes to mods/admins). Otherwise the reviewer has no idea what they need to add/change about their review to make it more useful to the community.
A lot of folks over at /r/discgolf on reddit push Rocs on new golfers (at least for practicing) because it's overstable, so if you can't throw a Roc well, they argue you probably shouldn't be trying to throw a distance driver.

A nice course in the forest on Tug Hill
Aside from the first four holes just playing around in the meadow off the parking lot, many of the holes play through cross-country ski trails, so by default, this course rewards good shot shaping, as most of the cleared trail areas are in the range of...

Tough, but an enjoyable course
The course was in great condition. Fairways are being mowed, and it looks like they are addressing one of the complaints I had with the course in the not-too-distant future - they have samples of the new hole-map tee signs on #1 and #10 now. I'm pretty new to the...
