Review by Cards-fan in course Jaycee Lake Park DGC

2.00 star(s) Fun course, but needs final touch -New patriot baskets - Decent elevation changes - Good mix of distances - Beginner/ Intermediate Friendly Natural pads that are fairly difficult to find (Check the map on UDisc to help). Multi-Use park in which pedestrians can come into play. Fairly new...

1.50 star(s) Decent, but confusing Another Branson course that is free to play. -OK teesigns (look at other thoughts) -Decent quality, bright pink baskets (I didn't recognize the manufacturer, but Innova Discatcher-type baskets) -Restroom/water available in community center located on the property. -Short...

Review by Cards-fan in course Shawnee Bend DGC

3.50 star(s) Decent Course, Fantastic Views This is one of the most scenic courses I've played, and the closest to beach-front golf outside of Florida. Great lake/dam views. Decent tee signs, and course signage pointing to next tee. Baskets are new Mach V's. Layout is a great mix of short putter shots with...

Review by Cards-fan in course Warsaw (MK White) DGC

1.50 star(s) 1. 9 baskets 2. 9 tee signs 3. 9 concrete pads. 4. Nice view of lake. Here we go, this is a park that might be able to fit 5 holes, max. Too many hole jammed into a small space that would be almost impossible to play with more than two groups in the park at a time. I think that from hole 4's...

    Rock Stairs

At a local course, there is a gully which many discs fall into, and there are steps made from two square landscaping stones next to each other built into the side of the hill, but a few have fallen down the hill, but they have helped prevent erosion at least.

Post a NOT cool disc golf photo

While the photo is cool, standing in an open field to get the photo wasn't my smartest move:doh:

Does plastic affect types of throws you can do with a certain disc?

I'm opposite, in which I prefer Star/esp for my Forehand drives. I have a z buzzz and a star mako, which I can throw backhand or forehand, but plastic doesn't matter as much for midranges.

    [Innova] What about the Max?

This^ So much you can use the Star Max for especially forehand...my accurate distance disc. I also have a z flash which is close, but I prefer the star/esp rather than z/champ for my distance shots. For rollers, I release (FH) at / angle and let 'er roll.

    DGA Giveaway - Last day!!

I would like to see either a light weight disc bundle that could be sold to schools for disc golf in PE, or even have the school start a disc golf course like Buffalo Prairie Middle School in Buffalo, MO. It would be a great way to get people interested in Disc Golf and in DGA products. Maybe...

    DGA Giveaway - Day 4!

Well, I am in the long-term process of having a beginners course set up at my college in Missouri. The city park is good and all, but there are too many people using the park, and some play equipment poses a threat to both people and plastic, but getting to the funding part- Our college disc...

    DGA Giveaway - Day 3!

The best resource is the knowledge to know what the main purpose of the course is going to be. Everyone has their own "favorite hole" design, so even if a professional designs the course, you still may be lacking the "use" factor. If the course is for a camp, you don't want to have all 300'+...

    DGA Giveaway - Day 2!

Having to convince the Park and Recreation Board how great disc golf really is...Disc Golf is an under appreciated sport, and having to ask for money for an "unknown" sport can be difficult, but spreading the game to new areas require some effort to extend the game to everyone, but it can, and...

    DGA Giveaway - Day 1!

The place i would like to set a course is at my college. The city park course is great and all, but too many people and it's a bit of a squeeze. I want to have a course on campus to help spread the game and use a portion of campus that is vacant all year round. Hope to get the college's disc...
