Total abstinence is so excellent a thing that it cannot be carried to too great an extent. In my passion for it I even carry it so far as to totally abstain from abstinence itself.......Mark Twain

how come the wizard auction was locked early?
i checked it like 2 hours before it was up to bid on it and it was locked..
Hey Craig, Rude to visit and not leave a message. Glad life hasn't distracted you too much from the game. Be safe. SEE YA!
I'm enjoying our PDGA discussion. I like the DGCR forums because people like us can disagree and find common ground and no one ever seems to get too upset.

Nice job on all the courses you've played.
lol i wish i could say ive played with him and i just thought it was funny you asked me about seneca creek
theres some 5000 people on dgcoursereview, what made you pick me? and no it wasnt me as i live in alabama
thought it was you ...all the courses played and the knowledge...you dont remember me im sure but i played all over the east coast in the 90's(as an am)...used to golf with biscoe quite often
Now congrats on getting Silver level TR! You got that really fast too. On to the Gold!

I'm not sure that an honest review of DeLa can avoid "Not Helpful" votes. They seem to have a core of people that vote down anything but a 5 disc rating. On the good side, though, you get lots of Yes votes for a DeLa review too.
I'm not really sure what that means - but cool! I haven't spent much time digging into some of the site particulars, but I've been enjoying sharing my experiences on some of my favorite courses. Not sure my review of DeLa was well received - but oh well :)
Congratulations on making Bronze level Trusted Reviewer! I've been enjoying your reviews and it's great to see someone with your experience on here.

It only took you 9 days to get to Bronze level. That's about the fastest I've seen!
Hey Craig, Yeah I've played a few. :)
My total is more like around 240 - but many were temp courses, campus courses, and now defunct courses.
I see you're from Georgia - I'm signed up to play the Atlanta NT in March - maybe I'll see you there.
What's up craigg? Just a quick hello from craigd. Man, you have played a course or two. Very impressive. I'll see you around...
They are very different in character, but not so different in overall quality or difficulty.
DeLa has perhaps a little more variety in the nature of the obstacles. But BWine has more elevation changes, better visibility, zero crossover, more wind, and ................grass :)

So I'm not sure how to give you a straight answer. Play Bwine in the wind, and it's as tough as any course you'll find. (I haven't played DeLa in windy conditions - so it's tough to compare)

Both have some good qualities, both have a negative side - for BWine - it's a little repetitive, DeLa - is just plain ugly.
Overall both are good, tough courses. Neither is superb.

In terms of overall experience, they rate about the same. Iguess I don't think about rating a course in relation to another - I try and rate it on its own merits.
