Review by dan_b in course Hunter Mountain DGC

2.50 star(s) First Go-round Fun, played on the side of a ski mtn. Brand new. Some trickiness in throwing up and down the slopes. Benches, nice pins, and gravel pads. A different course than most. Hole 9 is a bomber that needs to be experienced. Only 9 holes, not much in the way of trees or obstacles. No...

3.50 star(s) Up and down, round and round Pretty wide open. You play clockwise around a raised landfill, so over half the shots you want to play right to left in the air. Good course to open the arm up on in some places. Depending on the weather, there can be up to 3 or 4 water holes. There can be a lot...

Review by dan_b in course F. Burton Smith Park

2.00 star(s) Do Florida courses have any signs? Has the makings of an OK course. Some people did a nice job on the trails and weaving some intersting stick walls. No signs, or the signs were mislabeled. No Next Tee signs. The course map at the parking lot makes no sense if you don't tell me where I am on...

Review by dan_b in course Wickham Park - Main

1.00 star(s) Disappointed Can't review it becuase THERE WAS NO COURSE. On vacation, drove an hour to play. Spent 15 minutes driving around an enormous park with no signage about where the course was. Finally found a single basket. There were pads, benches, holes in the ground for pins and signs, ALL...

    Overthrowing Destroyer (RH forehand)

I throw between 300 - 360 ft I only use the tips of my index and middle fingers on the disc, with a bit of thumb pinch. It's not a "sidearm" throw, I bring it almost straight back, and keep the disc on line coming out of my armpit. My elbow almost moves in a circular motion. Hope that helps...

    Overthrowing Destroyer (RH forehand)

I like new ones 'cuz they're mint (no dings), but OK - I'll work on my form before trying anything new gear-wise. That seems to be the consensus. So....what do you guys do, just throw and correct? or get someone to watch and analyze?

    Overthrowing Destroyer (RH forehand)

Yes, I'm referring to Champion plastic. Also- I cycle a brand new one in every month or so (I carry 3). If I slow my arm down, I get the flat flight, but now when I dial it up - left turn. Perhaps a new weight? I have a couple low-weight Blizzards (150ish), but the profile looks so different...

    Overthrowing Destroyer (RH forehand)

I've been using a 163 destroyer as my primary driver for about a year, but am finding that now I am 'overthrowing' it. I am a right hand/forehand flick driver, so now I see the disc banking left heavily during the drive. With only that for info, am I over-torquing the disc? For my next driver...

3.00 star(s) Have a spotter Fun, relatively easy course. I enjoyed the throwing lanes, and thought the foliage was beautiful. Good challenge in terms of playing right and left. The bushes act a serious obstacles. Had an extremely difficult time navigating the course. Some tees and baskets are mislabeled...

Review by dan_b in course Amesbury Pines

3.00 star(s) Work in Progress Free. Somewhat varied terrain: woods, open grass, over water shots. fairly easy to make par on most holes. Helps to develop a repertoire of required shots. somewhat short, needs maintenance. first timers will get lost. It seems the biggest complaints on here are about the...
