We are going to hit a couple course in Grand Rapids, then one in Muskegon. Then we are going on up to Flip City, going to see what all the hype is about. I think we are going to finish up in Ludington, with the mason county courses. I hear that the courses in Ludington are pretty good as well.
I was going to go up both days, but I think a friend and I are going to head up to Michigan and play a few courses up there, so I will probably only be up there Sunday as well. unfortunately I work at 4:00 pm on Sunday, but I'll still be able to see a bit. I can't wait to see Nate Doss and Dave Feldberg rip some drives.
I will be sure to drop you a line a couple days before we come out. I've played the course once a long time ago, so a guide would be great. Are you still thinking of coming to town for the Tournament this weekend. I didn't get into the tourney, but am definitely going up to watch, I was just up there throwing a round today and watched barry schultz throw a few holes. It was pretty cool to see one of the pros out throwing a casual round, getting in some practice.
Hey have you heard any more Info on when they are pulling the baskets at Indian riffle? Or if they have already? I am sorry to hear that your course is getting pulled and I am hoping its not too late to get out and play it again before its gone.
Yeah I'm planning on going. I've requested days off work for it. Don't know yet if I will get them off, but if I do I will be there.
Oh and 24 hours is nothing. The first cross country trip we took we drove from Los Angeles, straight through back to Columbus. Made it in 33 hours, and I drove the entire way back. Only food, gas, and bathroom breaks.
We actually did it 12 days. We drove for about 24 hours straight to Flagstaff, AZ. We went up to the Grand Canyon and stayed the night in Flagstaff. Then we went down to Phoenix and played a course there, left and drove to San Diego. We played 4 more courses in cali in the next four days and then headed home, with a night in vegas of course. It was a blast. A couple friends of mine got down to winthrop a couple years ago, but I didn't make that one. Hope to soon though. If you are headed to the east you should definitley make it down to appling, GA and check out the IDGC. We played a couple courses there and they are amazing.
Yeah my friends and I love to road trip. Esp for disc golf. Back in January we went on a great one. We left from Ohio out to Arizona, played a course in Phoenix. Then we played in San Diego, CA. Oceanside, CA. Long Beach, CA. and up near Ventura, CA. It was a blast and not anywhere near as expensive as one would think. If you ever need some help planning a trip let me know. I have lots of experience as that was our second cross country road trip in this past year.
