Finally!
Finally a quality disc golf course in Ocean County! In this area even a mediocre course would be welcomed but this place has the potential to be much more. The park itself is well kept with clean amenities but most importantly is the land. There is plenty of room for long drives...

NIGHT GOLF!!
Not just another little 9er. This one is lit up all night!!
- 9 Baskets with a fun safari layout that makes it interesting.
- A good place to take friends to introduce them to the game. You don't need to throw far to score well here.
- A surprisingly good club presence...

- Rabbit Flats fills the disc golf void in this area. It is readily apparent that the locals love this course and have worked hard to make it a fun disc golf experience.
- The tee pads are awesome! I love the circular pads, these make it easy to change pin placements later, or even for safari...

Worth a Visit
- The course sits on a well maintained regional park. Equipped with restrooms, picnic areas and water fountains.
- Course maps are available at the font gate and navigation is pretty easy using the map.
- The course layout makes good use of the land available. With a bunch...

Good luck with your store. Everyone also loves to pick through the bin of cheap misprints if you can get your hands on them.
I thought about looking into the disc dog competitions, but my 95 pound goldendoodle is going to have a hard time getting the air to compete with the collies.
It can be done.
If you are willing to put in the time with consistent training you can have your dog loose on the course chasing his discs while you play a round of golf. The good news is you have a very smart dog and "training" is playing disc golf.
I have a 4 year old Golden retriever/...
The DGCR rating is pretty stinkin close. My PDGA is 963 and DGCR is a 966.
However some of the individual round ratings are laughably off:
Campton Hills in St Charles IL a -5 on 9 holes is a dismal 866. which I thought was a fairly good round.
Then at Sky High in Wrightwood CA my 75...
I find that I don't get as much snap when my nails are longer. I keep them as short as possible. Make sure to trim before a tournament.
My reasoning is that I want the "pads" of my fingertips to have contact with the disc, not so much my fingernails.
SLO Throwers are doing a weekly at Heilman in Atascadero on 3/23 at 10 am. Heilman is probably your best course in the area, unless you want to drive down to Waller.
Welcome back to SoCal. I wish I was only 10 minutes from La Mirada.
I would recommend going to some of the club events. The next monthly is March 9th, 10 am. Then the weeklys start in mid March. They organize it by division so you should find a good fit no matter your skill level.
Refund???? I'm not loaning the government my money at no interest for year. So instead I owe them money and they charge a penalty.
So yeah, throwing the same old discs for a while
