Having gone through Aviars, Wizards and a few others, I putt with a Lightning #2. One came with my practice basket and something about the rim just feels right.
You can refurbish the waterproofing on nylon too. (And better than the factory coatings I've seen.) I've done it by working GE Silicon II into the fabric with a plastic paint scraper and disposable gloves.

A piece of advice I was given long ago. When seeking distance, throw your drivers against your putters. If they are performing pretty much equally, you probably have form (nose angle) issues.
