    Underrated Putting Putter?

Having gone through Aviars, Wizards and a few others, I putt with a Lightning #2. One came with my practice basket and something about the rim just feels right.

How often do you change your bag

My most recently added mold is probably older than most players. My problem now is out of production discs.

    Lower back problems!

As a 66yo player, I attribute my back problems more to my nonplaying activities. Playing aggravates the pain but didn't cause the problem.

The Most Difficult 1st hole you have ever played

Dragon Ridge #6. It's almost straight down! https://www.dgcoursereview.com/media/hole-6-tee-sign.154983/

Bags—why not more duck cloth options?

You can refurbish the waterproofing on nylon too. (And better than the factory coatings I've seen.) I've done it by working GE Silicon II into the fabric with a plastic paint scraper and disposable gloves.

    Atlanta to St. Louis

In StL, I recommend Jefferson Barracks and Wilmore Park with a lunch stop at Tacos Wey. The are close to each other and provide a nice full day.

What do you enjoy the most - drives, approaches or putts?

The older I get, the more I enjoy my short game.

Playing injured—playing with your off hand

In my defense, I am a klutz. Ambidextrous but still a klutz.

Playing injured—playing with your off hand

STAY AWAY FROM THE OFF HAND X STEP!!!! (Unless you like falling down.) As a veteran of throwing arm injuries, I can't stress that enough. Even though I practiced X stepping, when I tried throwing for real, muscle memory took over and it wasn't pretty. It wasn't even pretty funny. Set shots and...

    Best Disc Golf Shoes?

While waterproof socks and breathable shoes are my go to for wet courses, I recently picked up a closeout pair of Moab 2 waterproofs to wear in mild weather. I am impressed. While I can't speak to the waterproof quality, the waterproofing adds just the right insulation for cold mornings. And...

    Your first disc golf course...

August 1973. A temporary course in Forrest Park (St. Louis MO.). No pole holes, just Hula hoops hung from trees etc. The hoops were spinning in the wind. The course had few obstacles to navigate. The day sucked. We went back home and continued to throw at cans on top of posts in my buddy's side...

    Your First Bag / Discs

The bag, yes. But I didn't need a bag till the `90s. The original 1970's fastback driver is long gone but I still have one unthrown backup. The original 1970s 150G Whamo pro model that I used as a putter is somewhere in my DG cabinet. You can still read most of the serial number. **** that...

    Suggestions on my what next

A piece of advice I was given long ago. When seeking distance, throw your drivers against your putters. If they are performing pretty much equally, you probably have form (nose angle) issues. As for discs, I'm the wrong guy to be giving advice. Everything I throw is way out of vogue and I...
