    Fun Suck

Personally, I feel that there are two kinds of fun-sucks, and I have definitely been guilty of both. Fun Suck 1: The stuff everybody has already mentioned. Sucking it up, and letting everybody know it. Even if you keep it to yourself, it's painfully obvious to everyone that you are getting...

    Rate my bag (870 rated)

Not really. I've recently dropped weight from 230 to 205 over the past 6 months (fat loss), but am now working on weight training and gaining muscle mass.

    Rate my bag (870 rated)

Here are some things to add, but that advice is interesting: 1. As I said, the Star Mako is entirely in there for trick shots, I haven't tried those trick shots with the Comet, as I have been primarily using the Comet for straight backhand throws, I guess I will check it out though, as they are...

    Rate my bag (870 rated)

Hello, I just started my competitive disc golf journey, and ended up with an 871 rated first tournament showing, placing 3rd in the rec division. I have been thinking about my bag for awhile, and feel like it is starting to come together. Let me know what you think: Putters: DX Rhino (180) -...

    [Innova] Star FL

Forehand distance shots. You can throw it as HARD AS YOU CAN without worrying about it flipping over. Or at least, I can, some people could turn over a Boss with their forehands >.< If I want a long straight shot and whale on it, I'm good for 300 easy with it.

    Getting better?

NOTE: I am not an expert opinion. That being said, the beginning to the pull back seems REALLY awkward. Personally, I would say get that second hand off the disc sooner. It seems like on your pull back, you are LITERALLY pulling the disc back with your arm, when instead it should be the...

    Where does 10M start?

As someone who has also played Middle Creek quite a bit, I really love what they have done there. Even if they aren't EXACTLY 10m, they really take the ambiguity out of questioning whether something is more than 30 feet or not.

    Need some drive analysis

Well, I have been told that thumb closer to the edge is more power, but thumb near the center gives more control. The pro that has been giving me a lesson or two told me that, but he has more success with it farther off the edge. I used to put it close to the edge, but have been experimenting...

    Need some drive analysis

I am using a stacked power grip. I have talked with some local pros, and nothing is wrong with it. The only thing I am changing and altering at this point is thumb placement. Trying to find the best trade of accuracy for power.

    Need some drive analysis

That's true. I will try that, but it has definitely been cold here lately. I tried just to throw without thinking, but it's tough. Some of it might have been that I was throwing my friend's discs, since I didn't have mine with me. I'll try to take another vid tomorrow.

    Need some drive analysis

Hello, I posted another thread about... 8 months ago or so (http://www.discgolfreview.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=12778), but since my throwing form has changed quite a bit since then, I decided this was worth a new thread. My drives are peaking at around 300 feet. Watching the video, I am...

Making the transition from casual to serious

Thanks for the advice. For those curious: 1. My overhand form is crap. That is pretty much all I want to say about it ... :( 2. My forehand is actually not horrible. I can crank out sidearm drives with decent accuracy to about... ~280 or so, and I am a shot shaping surgeon from within the...

Making the transition from casual to serious

I understand bag selection is not the most important part of tournament play. Believe me, I am working on shot selection/mental game and all of that good stuff. I am just trying to get opinions on what an optimal tournament bag should have in it, and what sort of molds will serve me well to...

Making the transition from casual to serious

Hello, My primary New Year's revolution this year is to get into the tournament scene of disc golf. It seems that the majority opinion of the forums is to select 6-7 molds and learn them very well. I understand and agree with this methodology, but I realized recently that I have no idea what...

    right pec question

What helped me to get this idea in my head was to stand still with my arms all loosey-goosey. Twist your hips back like you would in a drive, and you will notice that your throwing arm naturally goes somewhat close to the natural pull back location, then if you quickly open your hips, your arm...
