P.s. I use the STAR Wedge too. I'm not sure about the DX but the STAR is awesome. I used to use it as my putter. It is a great straight putter, I just chose the Wizard over it as a putter because I would always make it overshoot.
The Wedge is great. The low rim lets you have good drive with it too. I can drive up to around 200' with it on an almost complete vertical angle. They are great hyzer-flippers, and are overall multitaskers.
I'd say the DGA M-14 is fantastic. It catches very well, it is assembled in under 10 minutes, requires no tools other than your hands, and can be moved around very easily, yet being very sturdy. It is around $120, but if you want a sure-fire hit for your expectations, this would be it. But...
And for my 3rd consecutive post, I've decided a couple weeks ago that I needed to really perfect my midrange disc drives before I choose drivers all the time. Well my Star Skeeter is a great turnover, and it's crazy when I put it on a huge angle, yet it flips up, while gliding so far, so slow...
I've now very recently lost my favorite disc. My good old Roc is now MIA due to while practicing with it, I threw a very soft throw to demonstrate something, and shanked it right into my neighbors electric fence surrounded horse farm. I haven't seen it since. It has been my favorite, and now...
Amazing discs they are. Very consistent, (for understable driver) but I love it. It's amazing at flip-ups, straight rips, turnovers, and I hear that they roll very well. I don't always use rollers, but when I do, I prefer my Star Wedge.
Right now, I do throw a Champion TeeBird, and it goes straight for me, but this will sound silly but, I got a super-super domey one at 168. My Roc is at 180. My particular TeeBird is not exactly what I was hoping for, because it flies kind of odd, and the grip odd as well.(I bought that early...
I've read a bunch of these but, I don't think anyone can beat mine. I was 3 feet away from the basket for birdie, and I looked at my friend and said " Hey, watch this!" WORST MISTAKE. NEVER say that before you do ANYTHING. But anyway, I turned around, hunched like I was going to snap a football...
I've heard a ton about Opto Rivers. Those may find their way in someday, but right now I'm going to be getting a Cyclone and a new, more stable Roc. But, if I ever have the opportunity, I will go check them out.
The only reason I'm not sure yet is I don't want to over-stuff my bag. I would like...
After making a nice putt, we like "Makin' a deposit!" or when you are pretty much under the basket and you just need to drop it in we say "Clockin' in and clockin' out" like a time-card clock at the generic construction sites in cartoons. (As you actively act like you are swiping it in)
I also throw the Stalker much straighter now. I've been practicing for a while, and recently, it's made itself have a home in straight drives, but I am still going to try out that Cyclone. After that, I think I'm going to be set, at least until I either lose a disc (none lost yet!) or beat one...
No,, I haven't got to throw a Hawk. It would seem logical I would, but not yet at least. Also, I just focused on giving it a good amount of power, and it took off even more. My friend has a slightly beat Pro Beast that I actually love to throw. Though, I'm not sure how a new one would fly...
