Review by Hoosierhodge in course Brown County Country Club

5.00 star(s) a dedicated disc golf course (score updated to 5.0 in 2021) -Beautiful scenery -Good combination of par 3s, 4s, 5s. -Nice bathrooms on site in the clubhouse -The course flows well. It's easy to stop and grab a new bottle of water after hole 4 before really taking off. -Good combination of tight...

    Confused by my practice results

Same as aphilso1, this happens to me when I'm throwing extra clean. Maybe with the warmer weather, your body was a big more flexible and better using the little muscles.

BIRDIE! The Disc Golf Board Game

I'm a big tabletop gamer so I felt obligated to back it as an intersection of my two biggest hobbies. I don't plan to take it to my gaming group but looks like it might be easy enough that my disc golf friends could learn it :-P

    Spin rate measurements?

I've thought about doing this and it would be a fun project for an engineering student. Design a test rig and/or software to measure lateral and rotational speed. My personal preference would use a high speed camera to capture data and write software to parse the results. We're doing more and...

    Lay up mentality?

My solution was to find a friend and play catch with a putter. If you think about tossing with a friend, ~80-100 ft is pretty natural so you'll quickly get a good feel for it. I personally do a very abbreviated version of a real throw on a hyzer trying to make it. I make about 3% of them and...

    What was your latest breakthrough?

I have not made any improvements in the last 5 years so I am trying to rebuild starting with the one leg drill. I *think* I'm actually doing it right now. Two findings so far: 1. Not only should your off-foot have minimal weight on it, it should also not help in the lateral/shear direction...

Review by Hoosierhodge in course Forest Park DGC

2.00 star(s) simple neighborhood course -Although a very simple course, it still forces a need to throw around trees. I do have fun playing this course when visiting family nearby even though I'm rating it relatively low. -Zero underbrush. -No blind holes. -I'd love to take beginners here to learn the...

Review by Hoosierhodge in course Deer Run DGC

3.50 star(s) fun starting course for Nashville -nice artificial turf tee pads -long and short tees available. I generally play the longs while my wife plays the shorts. I really enjoyed playing an all-putter round from the shorts. -Good flow throughout -free to play -hole 1 from the long tee is my favorite...

Review by Hoosierhodge in course Ceraland Lakeside

4.50 star(s) great course with wide variety -I am a big fan of all the par 4's and 5's. It seems so few courses have well-designed longer holes. Every time I play, I learn more about the course and what combinations of shots give good results. Throwing my longest driver is not always the answer on this...

    Technique Advice for High BMI

I don't inherently foresee any issues just due to weight. I'm about to hit 32 and lost a lot of weight last year (252 down to 185) and almost can't tell a difference with my disc golf throw. I've always been RHBH dominant and never had any DG-related issues. I started several years ago with...

2015 Amateur Championships at Bowling Green

Will you have your line-up for discs for sale somewhere as well? I need to pick up some back-ups and would prefer to pick them out in person as opposed to ordering online this week.

    Putter @ 250, mids @ 300, drivers @ ?

This sums it up well. Nose up frequently seems to be the problem if mids and drivers are going the same distance even with adequate power.

Weyums bag, looking for a new disc.

How do use each of those discs in your bag? It looks like there is potential for overlap in your drivers depending on the exact runs you have. I would think a beat in DX teebird, GL river, and DX leopard may be quite similar.
