Disc retriever with the suction-cup ball at the end...

Also like the Max Stick, but I bought the attachment that screws into my telescoping pole. Have seen it make easy work of retrieving discs that went to the bottom of a pond. Only downside is, Either the disc or suction cups need to be moist.

It may seem harsh, but when I see somebody reach for their Mamba I cringe a little

From a beginner's persective, have to agree with lee76003, Now, it's my most reliable disc for covering distance. (Note: Have to yet to throw any disc 200'+) Suspect, as my skills improve, some other disc will take it's place ... perhaps even a fairway disc. For now, I'm sticking with it.

Effective, Cheap, Easy Basket Silencer & Thoughts on the MVP Black Hole Pro

Though haven't had the need (take it public parks, and practice there), agreed with the others who suggested Pipe Insulation. Downside is that it will cut down on bounce outs, which would gave a false sense of my putting skill. Rust issue: Doesn't help you now, but very diligent about wiping...

Putting: Can it be a wrist-only action?

The wrist-only putts, resulted my worst, accuracy-wise, putting sessions. But I thought for sure that is what I used in the house, with the Hydrogen putter. But I still think facing the basket is the right stance. As to keeping your eye on the basket during the flight of the disc...

Putting: Can it be a wrist-only action?

So if you are facing the basket, flex at the elbow & keep the wrist more or less locked? Cannot be any worst than I'm doing now. Thanks!

Putting: Can it be a wrist-only action?

Putting from 20': Can it be a wrist-only action? Or is the forearm required as well? Put another way, if I duct tape my forearm to my stomach, should I be able to putt accurately from 20 feet? Background: My form sucks in every aspect, so I'm trying to correct putting first.

Tech Disc: Useful for HORRIBLE throwers

And that would explain what I saw throwing putters inside the house, where I knew if put my arm into the throw, something would break. At least I know what to work on.

Tech Disc: Useful for HORRIBLE throwers

Absolutely will purchase the TechDisc, but it will be after I cleaned up my form. Speaking of which, did the video & saw lots of issues that require fixing. Some responders to thread, mentioned practicing with putters, so I bought 3 more (7 total). BY ACCIDENT, think I discovered the correct...

[MVP] MVP/Axiom plastic: Plasma vs. Neutron vs. Fission

Ordered the Glitch in that plastic. Why are so keen on Neutron Soft?

[MVP] MVP/Axiom plastic: Plasma vs. Neutron vs. Fission

Regarding the impact of plastic on the Stability attribute, which disc model has a major impact. IOW, one plastic might be the optimal choice for one disc model, but that same plastic would be less optimal for another disc model ... maybe even the worst choice? Background, what prompted my...

[MVP] MVP/Axiom plastic: Plasma vs. Neutron vs. Fission

Any care to comment on the desirability of these 3 plastics? Asking because my discs that were Plasma, started out great, but were superseded by first a disc in Neutron plastic, then received one in Fission by joining the PDGA. And when I was shopping for a new putter, than came in Neutron...

Practicing to improve form: What are the best TYPE of discs?

Update: Applied what I learned in this thread, videoing my first form-focused practice session. What came out of today's session, 10mm, f5.6 on a cropped sensor DSLR, captures the full flight of reasonably straight throws, and those that go to the right. More importantly, it captures my...

Practicing to improve form: What are the best TYPE of discs?

Thanks again Sheep, Then remind me not to rely on that for future disc shopping.

Practicing to improve form: What are the best TYPE of discs?

Funny Sheep, My ultimate disc was the first one that I used to first play disc golf. It proved the sport a viable hobby, but it also convinced me that I needed serious discs. The grip is too much like my putters. Will consider it later on, but not now.

Practicing to improve form: What are the best TYPE of discs?

Good stuff Skervoy, Limiting my discs to Turn & Fade values, +/- 1, comes up with 7 discs, which includes 1 under stable putter & 2 8-speed fairway discs ... but no drivers. Trying to summarize the thread, as far the disc criteria, Discs I enjoy throwing Neutral flight 1 <= Turn >= 1 1 <=...
