    H.o.D. 7/25/15 - #18 @ Fairmont Park - Manhattan KS

Former local, attended K-State and had the privilege of being involved in the course improvement that brought this course to 18 holes. This closing hole can be tricky for those who take this short "birdie" hole for granted. Too many times have I flipped a backhand mid/putter into the OB parking...

    [Gateway] Best Gateway Driving Putter

No love for the Evolution Warlock? Great feel in the hand and floats like a dream.

    What was your first bag?

Started on a small, black CHING disc golf bag. Later upgraded to a navy blue Lightning Medium Bag Then a red/black Innova Competition Bag... And now sporting an all-black A-14 Grip Bag and loving it.

[Dynamic] NEW DYNAMIC DISCS FOR 2015

My guesses: (1) Understable Mid will try to piggy-back off of the Claymore's success. Low profile with beadless rim. (2) Overstable Mid - Either going to be more overstable than the Verdict, or something closer to the Suspect in flight with a different feel. (3) Stable Fairway - Right now...

    New golfer here from KS

Another Manhattan, KS golfer! Welcome to DFOK country (Disc Fanatics of Kansas is the Manhattan-based club). Has your friend told you about the leagues that play throughout the year? I'm a member of the K-State disc golf club team. Look forward to seeing you around.

    [Dynamic] The Fluid

That'd be my guess. Type of plastic to compete with Innova GStar.

HOD 9/22/14: Stone Creek Park Hole 16 in Derby, KS

Hometown is about 50 miles NW, but I've only played this course once. Likely throwing my Champ-mold Atlas or Evo Karma along the right bank and letting it fade back to the basket. Wind could be a huge factor depending on the day.

Online Results, Leagues, & Points Series

www.discgolfscene.com has a lot of great features, but it seems to only be used in certain areas. Definitely not as popular as DGCR, but my college town's disc golf community primarily uses Disc Golf Scene to promote events, post news, and track league scores/results.

    [Drivers] Stable compliment to Valkyrie

I'll reiterate, I'd highly recommend looking into a Star FL if you're wanting a disc that will feel the same in the hand as your Valkyrie. You might be able to make it out on the Innova website, but the physical shape of the disc is incredibly similar.

    [Drivers] Stable compliment to Valkyrie

Assuming you're wanting to stay in the Innova family of drivers, I'd agree with what someone mentioned earlier in the Star FL, feels almost identical to a Star Valkyrie in the hand, but with a slightly thicker nose.

    Effects of wind

Typically, a headwind creates more lift/glide on a disc while a tailwind reduces the amount of glide on the disc. A headwind will make the disc behave as if it were thrown with more speed while a tailwind will make the disc behave as if it were thrown with less speed. In other words, a disc...

[Gateway] Hpp warlocks, do they suck?

I keep an Evo HPP Warlock in my bag at all times! Great driving putter, and I'll use it on most approach shots that are under 100 feet. I'd agree with cjman when he says they have bigger shoulders and feel deeper than the S plastic Warlocks.

    The pull-through

I read a comment in a different thread saying to try this: Pick up a brick and hold it like you're about to throw a backhand disc golf shot. When you reach back and throw it forward, you're not going to be able to swing your arm out and throw the brick very far. Rather you'll find that reaching...
