Running a basket fundraiser event. Ideas to raise money.

I think the $20 entry is a good number. Most participants in my experience don't mind pitching in if the return is good, like new baskets, or concrete tees. Also, ask if members have anything they can donate, and have a raffle. What really bugs me though is players that sign up for a fund-raiser...

Ever come across a wedding while playing?

I've been playing at Horning's Hideout when there were weddings in progress, but they don't really affect play. I think there was a sign once on Meadowridge 18 teepad that asked to hold any noise down out of respect for the wedding. Concerts they have there are a different animal, they have to...

Post a cool disc golf photo

Three baskets lined up at N.A.D. Park junior discovery course. All 6 holes are >110'.

Why does the PDGA think I'm a woman?

Hey, I just realized I played in that Soduku Showdown with you in 2012. Somehow I got 9th, lol.

Critters on the course you ran into...

The Isles haven't matched up very well with the Canes lately, so I was hoping they might get the Rangers. Didn't happen so I'm hoping for an upset in Raleigh!

    Paul McBeth #27523

I think with his Foundation and the new property in Florida, his hands are more full than they were when he could just concentrate on training and practice.

Critters on the course you ran into...

If I make it back to L.I., that's the course I want to play. (y) Go Islanders!!

It may seem harsh, but when I see somebody reach for their Mamba I cringe a little

This might be me, lol. I have 3 Mambas in my bag, all 3 fly different. I've been throwing Mambas for 4-5 years, so I know how to handle them pretty well. If I need a bit more stability, I'll throw a Westside King. I'm 67 and can only throw like 280' now. **Edit: We don't get much wind, and...

    Sad baskets

I'm not sad. I get it, tone poles are not ideal at all. But I started playing object/tone pole courses before I played my first basket course, and we used to have an absolute blast. To be fair I was new to DG and was completely hooked, so I didn't much care what kind of target there was, we just...

    Paul McBeth #27523

I wasn't sure where to post this, and sorry if it was already posted somewhere, but looks like Dylan Cease is being traded to San Diego. Probably doesn't mean much to us, but I just thought I'd post it...

    wolfhaley goes to Oregon 2024

We went in to Bevel Craft on a Thursday afternoon and they had the MVP Open going live on the TV's. It's a great Brewery, they have a small putting course out back, good beer, big selection of discs for sale, and 4 excellent food trucks. **Get the white cheese Mac-and-cheese topped with pulled...

    wolfhaley goes to Oregon 2024

Bend is about 3 1/2 hrs from Portland. I met my brother in law there last fall and he is a huge fly fisherman, he loved it there for the fishing. I didn't fish, I golfed, lol. Others may know of some good places closer to Portland.

Post a pic of your tombstone!

This is actually the only hole anywhere I throw a thumber on. Not exactly a tombstone I guess, but close enough. And I got the birdie from about 30'. Kitsap Fairgrounds, hole 4.
