Hey buddy, we should definitely catch up... your state is actually conceivable for me to reach one of these days. Cheers
Monty! It was good to see you at NAD a few weeks back. When are you playing next? I've been wanting to give the gold tees a try at Bud before the course gets pulled. I also want to get some practice in on the canyon course at Horseshoe. I might head out somewhere tomorrow. Maybe Bud. I'm not sure.
Thanks, I just hope that don't live long enough to wind up in a home of some sort. Some people are not cut out for that outcome, even if the place is "clean and friendly".
Thanks, but I don't even want to think about next years Doomsday prophecy. I guess it doesn't really matter much since I just purchased my 1st pair of House slippers. It was at that moment that I said "Yep, that's it I am officially old."
I know it's suppose to be played as an island hole but our group doesn't play it as such. That was a great job making a walkway on hole 4. You can now keep your feet dry. Now if the short tee on 5 and short tee on 18 could be repaired, the course would be in great shape.
Where is the 9-hole you mentioned is in the works?? I play a lot of the same courses as you, and would like to play that one when its ready. Thanks
Hey Monty, I just wanted to thank you and John for showing me around the NW course yesterday. Let's play again soon, next time I will cross the bridge and you can show me your fave Kitsap courses.
Hey! I meant to tell you earlier that Paul is coming by tomorrow morning to take a look at a piece of property. Want to go?
Hey Jeff! thanks for bday wishes! I don't check these messages often, but in regards to getting out there... I started working for that company in Redmond that I was just visiting way back when we met. I've gone out twice since, but only got to throw plastic once and that was on the new SeaTac layout. One of these trips out there I would love to make it over to the west sound again. Loved those courses! I hear Bud Pell is redesigned? and how is Kitsap Fairgrounds these days? NAD was probably my favorite on the west sound.
Jeff, do you say Mon-trose or Mont-rose? The sign of a true local...Ha Ha! I used to live in Telluride over ten years ago, but my mom still lives on Hastings Mesa off Last Dollar. We've been blessed with the wildfires this summer; it's been grand! Saw a mother bear and three cubs last week. Wish I could play this round with ya tomorrow. Hang loose!
Well, its rainy, and I got to my van yesterday to find out that my sunroof leaked and my van has a mold issue. Looks like I'll go straight to Portland without a disc fix, but I'll be back this way come fall and will PM to play some courses!
We got 17 of them in this weekend. I forgot how bad concrete jacks my hands up so I won't be throwing for a few days anyway. The natural ones were nice, but the majority are on some clayish substance that became a slippery hell when they got saturated. The only one we have left to do is 8, which is probably the hardest to get to. I think we'll be doing bags and a portable mixer for it.
Thanks Monty...it honestly was pure luck to get that ace, and I am soooo glad to have my three kids and wife there to witness it. lol. I was out there today with my wife and am trying to throw with just my mid-range until I get the hang of things. The funny thing is my long distance driver is what got me the ace. Will talk soon. :)

Vandalism is an unfortunate byproduct of some of these parks. I will keep looking on the WSDGA site for work parties etc., and if I am able to be there, I will try. I will have to check into that doubles thing. I think I need to practice more before delving into something like that though. I will certainly message you when I decide to do that.
    Tim
    Thanks Monty.
That stinks about hole 5 at VanZee! There have been geocaches hidden in that park over the years that didn't fair so well either.
Thanks for letting me know about WSDGA.org. I will have to check that out. I am new to this whole disk golf thing and really enjoying it my first week into it even though I stink at it. The signage at VanZee was kinda confusing and I was wondering if my wife and I might be able to help with the signage, guiding from tee to tee etc. at VanZee if you would like? It seems like it would really be a help especially for a new person to the course, coming from the perspective of us as new players to the course. I have some wood and a jig saw, and can get some paint easy enough, if it would help. It wont be overnight by any means, but we can work on it if you would like.
