Steve, are you saying that if I'm playing a course of 18 one-shot holes, and I'm not a big thrower, that I should have to throw 18 "exceptional" shots just to reach the green (however we define that)?

Lots of important theoretical discussion going on. Here's what would help me: would someone please name a hole or two that we would consider a "good" hole that almost never gets birdied. Talking about a real-life example might make the conversation easier. Thanks.

I've been in touch with them lately, and summer 2023 is now the goal. They have been able to find some additional manpower and maybe some additional funding (but they certainly could use help on both those fronts). In any case, the reports have been encouraging, and I hope to visit in December...

Thanks, Trey. Yes, I do believe that Agape, Mammoth Cave, Tomah Shinga, and a few we haven't announced yet are all going to be top-tier courses. But everyone needs to keep hope (and prayers) alive for Selah. There still may be a solution.

I appreciate this discussion. I'm going to back to my standard position, which in this case is: if so many players are going OB that OB even becomes a consideration in determining par, then there's a problem with the hole, not a problem with par. We would do more good for the sport to address...
