We're heading back to southern California next month. Any new courses within an hour or two of San Diego that are worth checking out? In years past I've played a lot at Kit Carson and a round or three at Morley, Goat Hill and Brengle. I plan on playing a few more at Kit and Brengle but I'd...
Got our first snowfall of the year last night. Just a couple inches. It won't stick around for long but it's a sign of things to come. Wrapped up the year with a relatively standard setup. Had good experiences with the Giant and Flow but I tossed the Giant into the drink and the Flow just...
Still digging the Giant. So much so that I splurged on a few other Swedish discs: a Flow, Saint, and Sword. The most impressive of the three was the VIP Flow. Nice dome, great feel, and more stable than I was expecting. Hoping it breaks in nicely. The TP Sword, on the other hand, is...
Hey! It's one of only a few birdie holes under 350'. I usually toss a beefy mid up the right side and let it skip but if the grass is too grabby I throw a neutral mid straight at it. Low ceiling and a couple tight gaps on this one make it a little tricky. Fun, challenging course.
The early run flat Star Katanas were quite overstable, moreso than a domey Destoryer. The recent poppy top Katanas are really nice though. I also have a 2011 worlds CFR champ Vulcan with the same poppy top and that disc bombs too. The dome seems to give 'em more stability so they can handle...
Anybody's M1 or M3 (or other Prodigy discs) beating in pretty quickly? The couple my buddies have been throwing seem like they are losing their fade way more rapidly than a Champ Gator, Champ Roc, or other comparable discs. The plastic feels nice but I'm curious about the durability after...
Playing with a simpler bag and being able to get out on a regular basis in comfortable weather has really helped tighten up the game.

I didn't fall in love with any of the molds I was trying out so I threw 'em in the trade bin and stuck in a bunch of old regulars. The only exception is perhaps the Giant. Its got a nice blend of stability and glide for a wind fighter.

Played here last weekend. It looks like the pictured position is one of the shorter ones to the right. It's pretty significantly uphill when it's in the long spot, which is where it was when we played. I tried a RR roller and failed, hitting a clump of trees about 300' up on the left. From...
That's definitely not Craton's problem. There is no Buzzz conspiracy afoot. I don't have any X Buzzzes to compare with my Z's, but I've looked at X/Z Nukes, Pro/Champ Destroyers, and Pro/Champ Wraiths and the trend is the same with all of them: Pro/X type plastics shrink more.
Weird stuff happens in plastic molding. I highly doubt they are using a different mold for X Buzzzes, it just so happens that X plastic tends to give discs way bigger domes than Z plastic, which likely is related to the diameter issue. I just did a comparison of a recent run pop top X Nuke and...
I've only thrown two medium Ibexes and one Tangent but I also found the Tangent to be less HSS and LSS. The Tangent will fly more neutral when powered down, but the Ibex will fly stable at higher speeds and has a little bit of fade you can play with. I think the two occupy different spots in...
I voted for ya bud. I even picked up a Lace and Ibex after hearing you rave about 'em. Haven't had a chance to throw the Lace much, it's a poppy firm, but I'm hoping its not like the firm you mentioned earlier in this thread. We'll have to have a Vibram party when you win...:hfive:
Spring 2013 is here, though you wouldn't know it by stepping outside around here...:x I took off all of January and February, partly because of the crappy winter weather this year, but also to focus on conditioning. Been getting back into the swing of things the last couple weeks. Picked up a...
They do, particularly overstable putters like Wizards. Over the course of years, their flights change a ton. The difference is more pronounced the harder you throw them. In many cases people reserve one or two of their putters for putts only and use several others for approaches and drives...
