I live in Texas also and the heat can get pretty ridiculous here.
Even in the middle of summer I don't find it to be too unbearable at all.
I just make sure I have plenty of water when I hit the course

This is a very large and wide open course. This being one of the first courses I ever played, I found this to be great so I wouldn't have to worry about hitting anyone.
