Klay, I may be living in the summit county area soon here and I'm wondering if there are any league/weekly doubles events going on in the area?
Thanks for any help
I have my CHU pass, which comes with a guest pass. I also have a flexible schedule so let me know when you are planning on making the trip and there is a good chance we can get a round at CHU in. Glad to hear things are going well so far with the club. I hope it is a big season for y'all.
I have noticed you have been a bit busy on this site recently. Feels like it has been a while since I have seen you down here in the Denver area. I am headed your direction in May for the Colorado Open, though I suppose that is just a drive through. Let me know when you are in town and hopefully we can get a round in.
Thanks. Definately not playing Intermediate anymore. I guess that means I get to play with you the next time I see you in a tournament. Beaver Ranch played as a par63 course this weekend with 21 holes. Bailey played as a par 64 with 20 holes. I believe it was holes 1, 9, 12 and 14 that were listed as the par 4's.
I did enter it but I ga\/e the GPS coordinates to timg to enter because they were not in decimal form from google earth . . . perhaps there was an error somewhere along the way . . . nice catch by the way!
I do plan on it, the Nation Caver Convention is up there in July so I'll be in Glenwood for that. Also need to do some caving prior to that so I'll be in the area, I can't wait to hit the courses up there. Actually had it planned to hit BV, Leadville and drop over to I 70 courses on the way up if I can manage. I only seriously got into it in the last 6 months, before that I was occupied with other things.
Yeah Jellystone, they did some major renovations, to the point there is supposed to be some tourneys there this summer. I played HP today, ran into the guy who is shutting it down to the public, seems pretty serious about it, after schmoozing for awhile I got his name and number so I can play, it also helped that I had painted a house for one of the managers, had a nice bag and talked DG for 30 minutes. While we were there he booted a car of kids off the course that pulled up. If you want to play next time you're down let me know, I got the golden ticket now!
I saw that, asked Tim. Someone from HP asked that it be removed, Tim said it was a grounds person or security, but had deleted the email. It's still there as far as I know, there is a tourney in June there. In fact last rumor I heard was they were going to be doing some improvements to some of the Tee Pads. I have an easy day tomorrow was gonna go up and play there and see how good the Larkspur course is now that they have done improvements there.
Yeah,we had a good time, the layout was a bit confusing the first time through, and we had a hard time finding the park, but next time it'll be much easier.
I completely agree that there a ton of fun safari options out there,I could see from 1 to 3 being a nice uphill hole, and a few other fun combinations, such as 6 to 7 thru the little bridge opening,I hope that they continue to work on it.
If you make it back, they're talking about more courses, had a city council meeting a while back, another possible 9 in flat rock,or maybe another 18 in a new park, pretty stoked.
