Admittedly have not read any responses, but I believe the pros in ball golf, for the most part, ask for permission to putt out. Whether they do it before the round or during the round, I have seen pros do it before when watching on TV. I haven't had too many problems with it, but it's always...

A Hidden Gem
Panther Creek has a good variety of holes from long and open, to short and technical. There's a good enough variety to play well for all players. This makes it a great equalizer. I have witnessed from first-hand experience in my disc golf group that scores are much closer to par...

A Good Tough Course
Vastwood is a fairly technical course, with more than its fair share of elevation. There are definitely gaps to hit on some holes, but they most aren't impossibly difficult. Holes 1, 3, 6, 8, 9, and 10 are the most open holes on the course, but they are challenging in their...

Course Layout
It's gotta be layout, right? To get course installed, only thing you really HAVE to get are baskets. So it is important, but it shouldn't be terrible. People will love or hate a course based on design and how well it's maintained. Concrete pads are not required at all. You only...

This is why when I finally go north to play some disc golf, it will be during the summer! It's just not something we're used to. A couple years ago it was 70-80 degrees in February...for more than half the month! Then last year it only dipped down into the 20s a couple of times, and I think the...
It's been a painful winter with the arctic cold and especially the recent weather from last week. In Kentucky, we got several inches of snow on the 2nd, then a little bit more with a good amount of ice on Tuesday. In fact, all five days of school for me were cancelled this week. Hardly any has...
As we near the end of the year, and we find ourselves in that awkward time of looking back while looking ahead. 2013 was the first full year I played disc golf, and it has been a journey! I've gone through many times where I don't know why I put myself through the frustration of the sport and...
That's exactly how I feel! I can't even grip a disc under 40 F. I did get hand warmers for Christmas, and they work mildly well. Not as well as you would expect I guess! Still might be nice to play a little more comfortably in cool weather. March 1 is still my favorite day of the year, haha!
