I have a traditional circle stamped 173 yellow misprint with no ink and 2 field throws on it.
I also have an older stamped 169 orange with no ink and several round on it (7+/10).
The orange is the flatter of the two.
dude, if you get monday off, i'm seriously leaning toward coming up your way and hit two of these: windwood, spring valley, oak meadow.
nah man, i meant hit kemah AFTER a round at jack brooks for some food and drink. and it doesn't have to be kemah, was just a thought since i hadn't been there since they built it all up. i'm ultra flexible with all this and humbly defer to your local wisdom. ;) and i can more than work around your schedule- like i said: i'll be on vacation! woo hoo! the afternoons are good for me though... i work nights.
distance isn't really a deterrent- i'll be on VACATION! besides, i could swing over to kemah for fresh seafood and a beer- i haven't been to that little "boardwalk" there yet. i'll try jrw iii. know anybody in the austin area? that's where i'll be sat and sun visiting cousins and hoping to play circle c and east metro- those courses look brutal...
since i already paid for plane tickets, i damn well better be there! windwood sounds good, as does oak meadow(if i can somehow get in), spring valley, and i thought i saw somewhere that you liked jack brooks? and maybe for kicks jim mozola. all kinds of options...
cool, sounds like a plan! i'll be in Alief, so not too far away(distances being relative in houston).
hey! will be in houston thurs 4/28, fri 4/29 and mon 5/2 definately. gonna try to throw a different course each day, weather permitting. you up for it?
Yeah, I usually play on Thursday or Friday most weeks. This next week is tough though. My sister is coming in from out of town, so I might not be able to get out and play. Where were you thinking about playing?
Hey Midnightbiker! I've been reading DGCR posts for about a year, so I've read alot of your posts: crazy guy in the field throwing frisbees, semitruck on the course that was a deer, etc. great stuff. I take it you work midnights? I did that nearly 10 years at a chemical plant. I liked that shift alot. Nice to here from you.
i can throw my pro valk the farthest because it is beat and it flips easily. if i really top it without it turning over too much, i can get 320, 330 on a good day by making it roll a little and not start to fade until the last 10% or so of the flight

i use it mostly to try and hit longer lines (for me) in the woods with wood farther down the fairway i'm trying to sneak around or through
