    TICK-ed Off

All of mine are relatively minor. I always keep a first aid kit and snake venom kit in my bag for emergencies and have been very lucky to not get any type of poison...which I don't know how I have been this lucky and stayed away from the snake I ran into that cost me losing a disc because I...

Figuring out your Disc Golf Handicap

Review by mSchmoe41 in course Lenni Lenape Park DGC

4.00 star(s) Really good course With size of the park a very good layout. Open holes to start the round and to end the round with the heart of the course being in the woods. Forcing you to think more creatively with your shots. The lines that you have on this course you will find yourself trying more...

    Sidearm Question

What causes the shot to stay left and not come back to the right? I have been having this happen as of late. Typically I use a Nuke or a Wraith for my sidearms. I would also try to hold the disc more tilted to get it to the right sooner and then I usually end up messing up the shot.

    Sidearm Pain

Sorry for a double post...my experience led me to try more anhyzers. It gave the arm a break while still being able to throw a shot to get it to the right side when needed.

    Sidearm Pain

I am right hand dominant and I had the same experience but I noticed technique problems were the causes of it. I had the tendency to stop my follow through which is a terrible mistake. Focusing on my technique/remembering to follow through has helped out. I would focus on technique and do a...

    How Do You Throw Overhand?

Tomahawk and right now, only tomahawk. I haven't tried the thumber too much. Maybe once or twice and when I did I just couldn't throw it too well. It may have been only because the times I have tried it I was in a tough spot. The tomahawk is a throw I am somewhat comfortable with. When I...

    Question about Distance

Is there a distance that one should be expecting to be throwing after a certain time of playing? The years playing on the profile is not entirely accurate. I am not sure how to change it. I have been on and off for 4 years it just has become more serious in the past 2 years. I went out and...

    Working on my Fundamentals?

Practice. Join a league. Play with people who are much better than you if you are fortunate to be in an area that has a fair amount of disc players. You have the chance to make new friends but you also get to see good form and technique and take their insight about how to play specific holes...

What's the worst part of your game?

Putting I put putting because the tweaks I need in the other areas will come in time as I play more, develop better technique etc. but putting is a game within a game for me. For putters I switched to Discraft's Ringer and Innova's Pig and I have seen some good improvement but the disc only...

Pettition To Allow Flattening of Discs

I am mixed about this, just as I am with traditional golf. I will just choose against it for discussion sake only. No intentions on changing anyone's minds on this issue. I see a distinct difference between getting good with equipment that is made to a specific standard vs. fixing a perceived...

Why do you play disc golf?

My reasons...in no specific order. Being outdoors. Inexpensive/free because I don't know of any places around me that cost money to play and I haven't played in tournaments yet so I haven't had to spend money on tournaments and the only time it costs money is when I purchase disc golf...

Review by mSchmoe41 in course South Hills DGC

4.00 star(s) A really good course The first time playing this course I was really impressed. The people who keep up the course do a wonderful job. I like the alternate baskets instead of alternate tees pads. The elevation differences on a few holes is nice to play on. A nice balance of open shots and...

Review by mSchmoe41 in course Elizabethtown College - Old Layout

2.00 star(s) Descent Course I enjoyed the tight, wooded lines with some risk reward holes. A really good place to practice approach shots. I was able to navigate fairly well. The last time I played there was no 18th basket. A little swampy the last time I played due to the rain that accompanied before I...
