    2022 DGPT Championship Oct 12-16

Hailey came to play. She’s my pick to win, she’s posted several practice rounds on her IG so I figured she was prepared. Idk if the FPO layout was easy or if we were watching top shelf players in the women vs men but the guys looked pretty crummy comparatively.

Disc Golf Contracts (Green Mountain drift)

Oh look, the “Million Dollar Man” didn’t make the cut. There’s a double standard for Kona, maybe some of you should reflect on why you choose to be so critical of her.

I’ve been wondering this myself. There’s not a huge amount of data, but it has been suggested women peak physically in disc golf mid to late 20’s. If we compare strictly numbers for KT 2021 & 2022 are quite similar (respectively in %): Fairway Hits: 78/75 C1x: 67/75 C2: 18/19 If you look at...

    Paige Pierce #29190

I just finished Fierce and thought it was great! Hearing Paul say he and Paige would “literally practice 24 hours a day to win Worlds” reminded me of how good these two are at it. They are again the overwhelming favorites to win IMO. Maybe sheds a little light on PP’s run in at ECC. This girl...

    Dustin Mouret, Gatekeeper Media thoughts.

I was disappointed to hear Brian will be in the booth and Terry will be the green side reporter during worlds. They’re both better suited for the opposite role.

If there was a sign that said course closed I wouldn’t be surprised if someone thought it was closed for disc golfers to practice on given the circumstances. After players getting hit at last year (didn’t Zachariah Johnson actually get hit) and Brodie having to rent out the driving range for a...

    Jussi Situation

I wonder if this might have implications regarding future manufacturer links to Majors in disc golf. Jussi/Discmania and EO were intimately intertwined. Much like Innova and USDGC and this year’s WC with DD. Might be something PDGA reconsiders in the future. This is so unfortunate as Jussi...

I’m not sure how mental health coaching helps fix fundamental mechanics.

Regardless of who is at fault, there should have been no questions about when ECC would be open for disc golfers to practice:

Reminds me a lot of Djokovic, Nadal, and Federer.

    2022 European Open July 21-24

WooHoo!! It’s finally here! Jussi seems to have done an incredible job setting up the course and spectator areas. I’m digging the Jumbotron. Simon posted a video of it so you can see his disc land near the basket on Hole 1! It’s at the end of this story...

    USWDGC 2022

At some point, Brian and his girlfriend took Hailey under their wing and helped her deal with things on the road, like finding a place to stay. It’s hard to say what obligations a sponsor have for their players, whether contractually or ethically, but Hailey was very young at that time.

    USWDGC 2022

Hailey’s Eagle on 17, the 459’ Par 4, through the woods is the shot of the tournament. That drive was just incredible. I think this is her tournament to lose but all four of these women on lead card still have a shot. Evelina and Ohn both missed some putts that could make a big difference...
