    Fox Valley Open

The FVO is held at Winnebago Community Park in Oshkosh, WI. There are 2 separate 18 hole courses in the park. The tournament is run as a not for profit with all proceeds donated to the local Special Olympics chapter(Agency 4-02). This event will be run "true amateur" for the first time...

Review by smatthew854 in course Crystal Lake Park

3.00 star(s) Very nice course but not perfect Well kept park with multiple tees for all but the last 4 holes. Several of the tees actually change the shot entirely with the difference in placement. Though this is Crystal Lake disc golf course the lake never comes into play until maybe hole 18, and that's...

Review by smatthew854 in course Murray Park

3.00 star(s) Better than it's given credit for. Multiple tees, well cared for park. The distances of holes vary though only two holes have any good distance on them. I don't personally find this to be a negative as the short throws tend to have trees and other obstacles to contend with. If you play both...

Review by smatthew854 in course Kiwanis Park

2.50 star(s) It's a disc golf course This is the lowest score I've ever given a course that I thought was not a bad course. The problem is it wasn't anything special either. Short holes make it well suited to beginners with only holes 8 and 9 going over 300ft. Once you find the first hole it is very easy...

Review by smatthew854 in course Winnebago County Park - Green

3.50 star(s) Fun and long Beautiful course with many challenging shots, for me anyway. This course will test your ability to shoot both right and left, as the pins are placed both directions from the tee regularly. It is a bit longer so a good arm is needed but on the green course this is nothing that...

Review by smatthew854 in course Rollin Ridge

5.00 star(s) Perfection in Wisconsin Each hole has multiple tees, most of them 3, and every hole has 3 baskets leaving you with numerous ways to play. The tees are all in immaculate condition with the only exception being hole 8, I believe, can be slippery as it's located under tree cover and never fully...

Review by smatthew854 in course Winnebago County Park - Yellow

3.00 star(s) LONG, long long long long. As another reviewer said this course fills a niche as its very long something not many courses in the area are. The park is extremely well kept, and there is a second 18 hole course in the same park. They make great use of the mounds for elevation changes and shots...

Review by smatthew854 in course Riggs Park

3.00 star(s) Better than the reviews give it credit for. Well maintained fairways in a country setting. Both right and left doglegs throughout this course make for the need of controlled fairway shots that you can place in both directions. There are a good mix of distances with even the longest holes still...

Review by smatthew854 in course Rosendale High School

2.50 star(s) Great for beginners This course is nothing special, its open with exception of a couple shots. It's short, not a shot above 300ft. It does have a couple blind tee shots though toward the end that add a bit of challenge, holes 9 and 12. What this course is though is VERY beginner friendly...

Review by smatthew854 in course Irish Waters Golf Club

2.50 star(s) glad i tried I should temper this entire review with the fact I played this course for a.tournament. The course is well cared for, as to be expected of a ball course. It was fun but nothing great. There was.a challenge to the course, but mostly only in the distance. There are a couple...

Review by smatthew854 in course WARP DGC

3.00 star(s) Nothing special but not bad. It's a nice wooded course with plenty of tight shots and right doglegs throughout. There was a challenge factor there for my first time playing the course even though the holes seem fairly easy once learned. Two tee's for each hole and two possible pin locations...

    [Innova] Love for the Gazelle

I just got a gstar gazelle from the pro shop. Absolutely love it. Especially the gstar material. I accidentally hit a pump building my first round with the disc, it's a stone coated building. Not a scratch, and when I hit the same building with a star, my star disc was all chewed up.

Review by smatthew854 in course Baraboo Lions DGC

3.00 star(s) Fun This very challenging course has two sets of tees for most if not all holes. Tough blind shots and doglegs, with wooded shots and open areas abound in this beautiful layout. While I played the campus was under construction making it unplayable for several holes. The rough can be kind of...

Review by smatthew854 in course Adelaide Park

3.50 star(s) Home town course Wide open areas allow for beginner players to make mistakes without paying dearly at each hole. Though there are 2 holes in particular hole 6 and hole 17 that are quite hazardous for beginners as they play heavily with water hazards. All the baskets are in very good shape...

Review by smatthew854 in course Vollrath Park

3.50 star(s) Oldie but still holds up as fun This is a well marked course in a very nice park. Pro shop actually on course too, something I haven't seen much of at any of the other courses around here. This is the oldest course in Wisconsin and you can tell. Many of the holes are very short by current...
