Just some background on my DG status. Active and ready to give the sport my best effort. For what it's worth I subscribe to the best beginner driver is a putter system. You can chime in with any feedback you feel is constructive. I have three Innova Champions - Valkyrie/162 driver, midrange Panther/165 & a 167g Aviar putter. See, I already have the lust for plastic bug.... Thinking that some DX would have sufficed to begin with.
I have viewed an immense variety of video delivered by the likes of DiscCraft's Mark Ellis to Pros like Nate Doss, even the seasoned and colorful Mr. Papa. I am at least a 500 mile hike through the disc golf wilderness from a par too!

Sounds like you have the mental aspect of the game (and life in general) down.
