I got my 2nd ace out here in Oklahoma @ Dolese. Hole #9 named "the touch". cool course every teepad has a chunk of smooth granite in the back carved with the name of that hole. There were alot more people around & everyone that saw or heard it were stoked. Now I just need to do it back home in FL
Just saw on your profile you were in A3 in the late 90s. Bill Gilbert is working at CJs now, he gave me the club discount right before my last tourney at Hudson Mills :D
I set out to go up and hit Lakeview and Pinebrook, but by the time I got around to it, it was already 2:30. I just opted for NPC. I had a great shot on 15, but I botched a deuce with a bad putt. :wall: Although I ended up with +13, I had some pretty good shots. I finally parked one in the ballfield on 11. lol ...saved par though!
The only course I played on the north side of Chicago was the original Gilson Park course in Wilmette
I finally got my 1st ace @ Fountain Hills! It was only a little over 200' but it still felt so good. I had a co worker witness the shot and was glad he decided to come along. It was his first time to play so I did good, introduced yet another person to our sport, and made it exciting for him.
When you going to get out and play this weekend? I'm thinking of heading to Charlotte Regional here pretty soon.
I am down from IN. I have been playing Charlotte Regional a lot since being down. I used to live down here and played the old layout a bunch. The new design is so much better. I'm usually there everyday. Today I am making a trip to Clearwater though. Just let me know when you get out and we can make something happen.
my wife and I are into cute animals for some reason. it is kind of sick when you really think about it. But then it is also fun to make fun of hipsters.
Hey Thrembo! I enjoyed it...except for the back thing. :) I'll definitely get in touch next time I head to Fla.
Hey how's it going sorry I wasn't on here for quite awhile. I hope all is well with you and your new course layout. The job I was working suddenly stopped for the holidays ( with no notice) it put me in a bad spot. The job is starting back up though and the larger company that subbed out the company i did work for contacted me and I'm flying out to Phoenix on the 1st for retraining until the 20th. We get a couple weeks break then off to Miami. I'm not sure where the rest of the Florida stores are right now, but if I'm going to be close to your area I'll let you know. I'm going out to Oklahoma after Florida and I'll be there for 9 weeks, so I should get in alot more courses. Well i hope your enjoying the Holidays talk to you later
Sorry for the late post, it's been a while since I've been back on the site. With out weather it's a toss-up. For the last week we have had some nasty rain, so everything's pretty much unplayable. If it's now raining or super windy it should be ok to play. I should be available possibly on the 23rd or the 26th.
No, I was originally from the "Far Southeast Side", or in other words, Indianapolis. I was up there for a tournament.
I'll be in Lakeland Sun. I'm hoping to play a course between there and Tampa on Tue. or Wed. Hawaii was just amazing we did alot of hiking up mountain ridges, some sky diving , surfing, snorkling, discgolf @ a couple locations, saw lava, flew in a helicopter, went in a cave, and ate & drank @ some great spots. I want to retire there.
I played with Innocent Crook (Tim) today, good guy. He had some nice things to say about you. :)
