I had this happen to my partner in dubs. I was lucky enough to get paired with one of the better open players (who I knew well and was used to some good natured harassment) playing a hole with either a relatively safe flick that was an easy 3 or a monster hyzer over OB and around a large...
That is awesome.
You must have more faith in humanity than I do to allow DGers to mess with that. Someone will find a way to break it and I'd lose my mind.
The bad part of this is you have to watch your warranties. I hosed myself with this and 2x pairs of keens. Nice 12 mo warranty and I rotated 2 pairs I picked up together.......which both fell apart after 15 months. Had I stuck to mostly 1 pair I would've had that nice replacement pair.
For me it isn't a matter of loyalty my current lineup is more about saving money... The reality is that for the major brands they all pretty much cover any shot you need and most have a good lineup of plastic. I started out all innova at first for simplicity then did the typical newbie thing...
An interesting look although not a perfect way of determining a mecca....but still cool to see.
I'm curious how NY would fair if you were to axe the NYC area as that is greatly distorting our population #s and I can't imagine it is adding a proportionate amount of courses/events/players.
There are so many factors in play that it is really hard to get a good sense from a thread like this. For me personally, I will easily pay $10 for a course that I deem worth it. But....
1 - The area and nature of courses around it / DG population are a huge factor. Put a PTP course in an...
I hadn't considered the hidden bonus this gives to high attendance folks. Glad to see you've thought it out.
One thing I'm very curious about is the psychological side of this. The only way for this to work is for it to be truly transparent (giving each team/player their handicap). This of...
Interesting concept, I'm curious how it'll be received.
One problem with your math in examples is eventually everyone will be negative due to $1 not being paid out. You'd need to count only what you actually put into the pot ($4) per entry or it will be skewed after many events.
In echoing the majority here - when you have to (per rating) or YOU feel comfortable moving up. Please do yourself a favor and don't move up only because of what others say. In anything but open if you win SOMEONE will call you a bagger (or think it at least) regardless of any past...
I have switched to the colt as my main putter for just this reason - small hands. I never could get comfortable with a grip on deeper putters and went through quite a few. I spent some time with the summit and only ditched it for the colt as the summit was just to US for me.
As for the...
One thing to add is that there generally seems to be stages of wear that discs go through. How long each stage lasts varies greatly based on the factors given above (plastic, mold, what you are hitting and how hard, etc). You generally see the most change in the first stage particularly if the...
....As long as it is home schooled done right. I've seen folks who have done it well and those who haven't. I think this is part of why people are so divided on this.
You'll grow to love that star tbird. If it is turning (assuming no major headwind) at less than 325' it is definitely a form issue, not the disc. I throw a lot of light teebirds as they are my most thrown disc off the tee. Quite a few star (or starlite) 155-160s and gstar 165s and a 175 star...
