    Other info

I love talking about the courses I've played, if you have questions, comments or disagreements with my reviews I want to hear them.

Here are some of the criteria I focus on when reviewing and rating a course:

Design: Good balance of long/short and left/right/straight holes, good use of property features, risk/reward opportunities, challenge, multi-shot holes that reward excellent drives with fair landing zones, appropriate challenges for the intended skill level

Beauty: Seclusion, nice views, well maintained property, elevation changes, mix of different levels of foliage

Amenities: Level and smooth tees, tee signs, baskets in decent shape, navigation aids where necessary (course map, next tee signs etc.)

Bonuses: Multiple tees, multiple pins/pin placements, fun water shots, loops back to parking lot, active club/tournament scene

    Yo-

Hidden Lake is fairly solid, especially if you can catch it an a non-peak park time (i.e., you don't want a bunch of girls softball teams and families infesting the park if possible).

Lotsa water, none of it super scary, but a lot of it sneakily in play when you're sure you have no chance of getting wet.

A few bit of tasty elevation.

Just an FYI. Pics and review are up in case you want to take a peak. Lemme know if you guys want to hit it up anytime soon. Navigation is a bear.

Still waiting to see your France Park review, too. :)

    *gets :thmbdown:s ready* :p
It was pretty cool. It started off like, eh, this is all the same crap I read online. But then they got into some of the finer points, and had really good demonstrations.

Started off with the different grips, talked about wrist roll, feet, hips, shoulders, etc. etc. Feldberg was really big on pulling on a straight line from start to the very, very end. Weight shift, follow through, and so on.

A little putting stuff, just the basics really. But he did go over his/Ulibarri's 'walking putt', which was pretty informative (made a long putt later that day with the advice :)) Not much 1 on 1 stuff unless you hunted them down and talked to them.

Leagues filled up during the clinic so a lot of people didn't get to play, ha. (not that many people did the clinic actually). some of us went to West Park instead, I was playing very well. Not because of the clinic, more because of my STL trip. Great use of a vacation day.
Hey! It was fun playing a round with you up in BG....keep throwing those putters man! that was fun to watch...
HA! Niice! Have fun and be safe! :hfive:

I'm probably just gonna practice this w/e. Haven't played much lately (no putter practice) with work. :)
Gotcha....where you discing this weekend? I went up to SoWeMi last saturday and played Shore Acres with NoGo. You should get up there stat and check the property...easily 18 solid holes.
    *reads about Ash*

    Tell her congrats! :hfive:

Hey, you should check linky clicky deal
Awesome job on the 980 round!! sick! Tell Ash congrats on her victory!! Sounds like you all had a fun trip!? I'm super jealous.:)
How'd the BG Ams go? Did everything click or did you leave some out there? was it tough?
    Yo dude!

Just postulating; if you were to pick up a Ti Buzzz or two from BG, I'd make it worth your while. ;) ;) :|

    That's the hot item nowadays!!!
I am looking forward to reading your reviews on the courses you played last Sunday in Michigan. I have read your reviews and respect your opinions of the courses. Of the courses that i have played that you have reviewed I totally agree with each and every one.
I see that you are playing in the Bowling Green Am tourney. This will be my second time playing that tourney. What division do you play in?
After further review on Bowling Green, unfortunately I can't pull this one off. You know I wanna go BAD but I just can't do it....:( But, if you see any cool stamped stuff down there that I throw keep me in mind! I'll pay ya!;) On a side note, lemme know if your interested in doing the Standing Rocks open!? I plan on doing that!
Sounds like I will get my ass kicked :D excited. I will report back tomorrow with my score so you can laugh. :)
Talk to me about Stoney Hill
I am excited and going to bed soon so I want to dream about a great course.
