This course is located in a huge church retreat camp. It offers a unique stand-alone disc golf course with a relaxed, rural feel that you can't find at public park courses.

The course flow is easy to follow and loops back to the parking lot once during the round.

There are four tees per hole and the distances are well-thought-out and appropriate for a wide range of skill levels. The designer recognizes the importance of creating a course that can provide an enjoybable competitive experience for all players.

There is minimal schule and the likelihood of losing a disc is low.

While most of the carpet tees provide a good surface to throw from, some are torn, not staked down, or on uneven ground.

The back nine doesn't yet have directional signs.

A few of the holes were a bit tight on each other.

Hole #8 is a safety hazard, bringing several cabins and the resort road into play.

I played the longest tees and found them to be at the white/blue skill level. I would guess that an even par round of 54 would be about a 930ish rated round. The score card advertises these tees as "professional". I would argue that the gold level tees should be much more difficult. This criticism may be viewed as simply a matter of semantics, but I think it's very important for us to have somewhat standardized notions of what the green-red-white-blue-gold color standards mean in terms of difficulty.

There are plenty of opportunities for par 4's and 5's on this property, but none were designed. A few of the holes were wide-open throw-aways and none were particularly inspired.

Please note that the course has a $2 greens fee. Players must check-in a the lodge to pay the greens fees and get a course map. Do not come out and try to scam out on paying the $2 or you'll have bounce-outs for the next five years.

The course is part of a church retreat facilitlity. Alcohol and smoking are prohibited on the property. Do not abuse the privilege to play disc golf there. Also, don't be a dirty discgolfer: Please leave the course cleaner than the way you found it.

I applaud the designer for landing and creating this course. I strongly believe that private pay-per-play courses are the way to go for the future of the sport.

Remember: Don't be a dirty disc golfer. If you pack it in, pack it out!

Private Course. 4 different tees for every hole. Baskets are numbered. Small arrows point you to next tee.

Pay to play $2/person. Hard to find 1st hole. No tee signs. Kinda tough to navigate the course unless you have a guide. Very sandy, a lot of fire ants, Brushy terrain that has been bushhogged, trimmed low so tough to walk through. Tees are carpet, unlevel, grown over, and not marked if it's pro,adv,am,or beginner/hole number. It takes a while to get there. Almost an hour from Palm Harbor.

I guess it was ok just for the sake of havng a course. Maybe once it gets some play it will develop into a better worn in course with paths and signs etc. Some of the lines from the pro tees were unrealistic. An example is this one where the advanced pad was a wide open 350-360ft hole. When you go from the pro tee it puts you another 80ft back but forces a hyzer. I guess you can reach it with a 500ft hyzer but I don't know many pros that can throw that. So it is an easy 3 for pros. Most shots were kind of boring like that you know wide open and you have to throw around 1 tree, or low ceiling open shots. Yawn.
