Pros:

Played in late Oct so undergrowth manageable. Great 18 hole challenging course with plenty of variety, as previously stated. Tees were all present with throwing edge and all the baskets looked new (excellent condition). The laminated signs indicating direction to the next tee were extremely helpful as the online map was difficult to follow with the scale of the park. Note - the lake at hole 3 has dried up (thankfully).

Cons:

Not a beginners course. Very hilly so a considerable degree of strenuous exercise. Took 2 hours to complete course, once we'd found all the tees and baskets. Although all of the tees were present, some had no map for the hole on the post. Many of the baskets were not numbered but downloading the course map helped. We found no tee direction signs from the baskets to the subsequent tees for Tees 4, 12 and 14 but found them after some searching. Here the map didn't help because of the size and terrain of this excellent park. Our first round was impeded by the popularity of the park with walkers, joggers, bikers, etc so early morning midweek is optimal. Be aware that the drive up to the car park indicated by the coordinates is extremely steep and narrow but thankfully there was a small car park/turning area lower down the hill where we were able to park.

Other Thoughts:

A very challenging course for our standard but loved it! And managed not to lose any discs. Detoured our return route in order to play another round. Will be back again!!

One of the best course in France ! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 3, 2016 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Very nice course in a great environment which fits perfectly for a disc golf course.
The course has 18 holes and tees and includes various technical difficulties (turn left or right; OBs; dog legs; different lenghts etc) so it is very complete.
I particularly enjoyed playing the hole number 3 because the disc need to fly above the pond.

Cons:

I would say that only the starting panels are missing.
And the course is quite difficult for beginners especially because there are many trees.

A fun challenge 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 13, 2015 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Beautiful setting, a hike in the woods, plenty of variation. Great views of Brive. A fun course for average to experienced players, doable but difficult in places for beginners. A great test of accuracy with plenty of trees. Not overly long, but some opportunities for distance drives. In the past few months, the course has installed some new baskets (which now have hole numbers on them) and tees which have made it a great place to play!

Cons:

Some long/confusing hole to tee walks.
On weekend and holiday afternoons, the course becomes difficult to play because of other park-goers who are unaware of the disc golf course around them. When the park is busy, holes 1, 2, 6, 8, 13, and 18 can be nearly impossible to play.
Thorns!

Other Thoughts:

Make sure to download the map before you go: http://discgolfbriviste.jimdo.com/parcours/
Don't wear shorts, as a wayward shot is likely to find thorns.
When in doubt, stick with straight shots, there's plenty of room for trouble here.
Try to visit on weekdays or weekend mornings, when the crowds are thinner.

Pretty park and good workout 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 24, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

-Some challenging basket positions
-Hilly and good workout walking around
-Pretty setting
-Not crowded
-Fairly easy to get to from major autoroutes

Cons:

-Hard to figure out the course layout, even with the map of the course
-Basket missing on one hole
-Grass tees, not marked, no signage

Other Thoughts:

It was easy to find using the GPS. Without the GPS, be sure to come up Rue Louis Plantadis from Avenue Jean Jacques Rousseau to the north. I don't think you can get here from the south. While it was not easy to figure out the entire course layout, and we unfortunately didn't have time to explore more of this pretty park and course, it was a lot of fun to play the holes we did find. The view of Brive-La-Gaillarde is very nice too.

Course resides in a park atop a ridge 2+ years

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jun 19, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

Pretty course in a beautiful setting. The park, set along the top of a ridge, is well maintained and groomed, but the course veers into wild territory as well. Nice mix of easier and more technical holes, with good variety of length and terrain. Gorgeous vistas throughout. Spacious course; a pleasure to walk.

Cons:

Despite the description published here, the course is only nine holes, not 18...and the basket on hole #4 was missing entirely! (Just disturbed ground).

Other Thoughts:

There is a much better map here:

http://www.disc-golf.fr/image...urs/brive.pdf

A good map is essential, as there is no signage on the course, tees are not marked, and baskets have no indicators (I like courses that have hole #'s atop the baskets, facing the tees, especially when the course is cleverly squeezed into a tight space - not a problem here).

We came up from Cahors and had no trouble finding the course; just plugged Parc des Perrieres into the Garmin GPS and went straight to it.
