Great 9-hole course that is intended to be played mostly by kids and young adults, many of whom may be playing for the first time. I love that it has just about everything: open, isolated trees, and narrow fairways through the woods; two holes have water including #7 that features an over the water tee shot; mostly flat but a couple holes with slight up or down; requires shot shapes of straight, left, right, and some holes where the basket is not seen from the tee.

The course starts out easy and gets progressively harder throughout- great for introducing and teaching. #1 is under 100' and straight, then the next 3 play around a grove of large isolated trees that don't punish errant shots too much, #5 is through a tree line to an open field, #6 begins a tougher stretch to the finish as it is down a winding gravel road through the woods, #7 is open over water, and then the last two play through the densest wooded section.

Good baskets (DGA I think), that are permanently attached to a square of concrete. Large yellow signs with hole # are next to each basket and easy to spot from the tee. Tee areas are large and easy to find as they are a "V" shaped set of flags on a rope tied to 3 posts- simple but effective.

Navigation is simple as the tees are right next the previously basket. #9 ends up close to #1.

The tees, though creative (see pictures), are not the best. They are just roped off grass areas. The ropes are not very wide and can get in the way of your throw (I played from just in front of them.) Some rectangular shape, or even 3 sides, would have been better.

Design-wise, holes #2 and #3 cross fairways- I doubt the course is ever really busy, but I just don't like the danger of crossing fairways, especially with a tee very near a basket and figuring that kids with little experience will be throwing. #5 plays over the road, so be sure to look for cars, bikers, and pedestrians before throwing.

***This course is not open to the public.*** Sadly, it seemed like it did not get much play by the camping Scouts either, many people were unaware there was even a course there. The Reservation was fine with me being a guest, however (sign-in at the Crippled Crap Bldg.), so if you know somebody who is Boy Scout who is staying or working here, you could probably play.

I had the privilege of introducing two former students, who happen to be Eagle Scouts and temporary employees of the camp, to the game of disc golf. I hope this course will help introduce many boys to disc golf while they are staying here.

This one is difficult to rate. As far as introductory courses go, this is one of the best as it has everything one might encounter in other disc golf courses. For its purpose and intention it could be around a 4.0. However it could be mastered pretty easily if you were an average player. And not being open for play to the majority of the public may be a plus to the Scouts, but a big negative as a course when comparing to all other courses, as playability and accessibility is a factor. I am giving it a 2.0 "Reasonable" but I really enjoyed its overall design- interesting to beginners, but not super hard.
