+ Located in a very nice park right in the heart of southeast Ohio, the Morristown course was a very nice surprise on the way down to WV!

+ I wasn't planning on any stops heading down to Moundsville, but this course was right off the path so I thought I'd give it a shot.

+ Three sets of tees for beginners, intermediate, and professionals. Provides a solid challenge for everyone with a few really fun holes mixed in.

+ Good variety in distance and different shots. Very hilly with some decent tree coverage in spots.

+ Kiosk has benches, an info board, restrooms, and a trash can. Everything you look for right from the start besides a practice basket.

+ Whites and Blues are both concrete. The baskets are a little faded but catch perfectly fine.

+ You won't really interfere with any other park goers. The course plays around several activity areas but does a good job of avoiding trouble in those areas.

+ #15 is my favorite hole. It starts off in the woods, where you have to have a sharp hyzer around the trees. Your disc really sails down a big hill for a finish in the open next to an American Flag.

- No tee signs, just wooden posts with distance marked in sharpie. Hopefully these will be upgraded in the future.

- Some holes may be really easy for anyone above an intermediate player. I picked up 5 birdies during the round when I'm usually an above par golfer.

- Very limited parking, you have to use the sides of the road to park since there isn't a lot for the course.

- A few areas could use more trimming. #15, as fun as it is, had shin-high grass all the way down the hill.

* I'm glad I made a stop here on the way down to West Virginia. It's a fun park course with some very fun holes, so I'd recommend a stop if you're in the area.

This is a decent but not amazing course set around a number of baseball fields and general city park, with a very few holes going through the woods. Most of the challenge from the course comes from the frequent elevation changes, along with, in most cases, a small number of trees. Taken individually, there are no bad holes on the course, but about half of them have a very similar feel, so the overall effect isn't as good as it might have been. I wish that they had cut down the number of holes between 5-11 or 16-18 by a couple and run a few extra holes through the trees on the course, but it's still not a bad course.

However, the lack of signage is a problem. The course is mostly logically arranged, but I threw a few holes wrong and didn't find one of the tees. There are also a couple of blind throws that having an estimation of distance (especially for high-hook-needed throws) would have really helped.

As mentioned, though the course isn't on I-70, there's enough traffic on the nearby roads that you're not going to get a nice, peaceful, contemplative time to yourself.

All in all, it's a decent course for locals, or a nice way to take a break from a long drive down I-70, but I wouldn't make a special trip for it.

-Mix of left and right handed holes
-Great use of park space
-Baskets were in great shape

-Tee pads were a bit small for the long positions (suggest putting in concrete blocks at the end of the pads to elongate them)
-Signage was non-existent

This course was pretty great. Our group ran into a little trouble navigating the course, but other than that, the course was great. On this course I saw the most spectacular nature scene ever. At sunset, the sun was shinning down and the group looked like it was covered in spider webs as far as the eye can see. I wish I had a decent camera to capture this moment... I recommend checking this course out. With a little bit of tender loving care, I could see this course having some sweet tournaments in the future.

Lynn-Hunkler Memorial DGC is in a quiet park located right off route 40 in an area that is in need of more courses. The park is mostly dedicated to disc golf, so there shouldn't be much problem with other park goers. I didn't see one person during the two rounds that I was there. Having no idea what to expect heading in, I enjoyed my round and thought that it offered a well-balanced challenge to beginning and intermediate level players.

There are two sets of tees with most of the short and all of the long tees being concrete. The two tee positions offer a very nice distribution in challenge - the longs are often over 400 feet and require a big arm and accuracy to achieve par, while the short tees reduce some of the obstacles and length to the point that should be satisfying to a new player. The DISCatcher baskets are new and in great shape.

The course fits the 'lightly wooded' category, but there are still plenty of chances for line-shaping and even a few holes that are really tight. Holes 2, 5, and 9 require you to hit sharp angles to landing zones in a patch of woods. You then have a tight approach to the basket. Holes 13-15 are the highlight here, playing through a thickly wooded area and are probably the most challenging holes on the course.

While the land is relatively flat, the design makes great use of the elevation changes that are offered. Holes 1 and 15 offer downhill shots, with 15 being an outright bomb out of the woods to a blind landing zone. Holes 4 and 14 are tough uphill shots, 10 is a ravine-type shot, and 11 plays on a very steep side-slope to a blind pin position.

Pin positions have been carefully thought out, often being among a patch of trees or on a slope. Therefore, the course in general places just as much emphasis on approaches as it does on drives.

No benches, tee signs, or directional signage at all since it is a newer course. I imagine these amenities will be added over time. Navigation is pretty intuitive, but signage will definitely help alleviate some searching. The main spot that may cause confusion is after hole 12. Walk across the road and head toward the steps into the woods.

A few of the holes here are pretty basic and don't offer many factors that influence score separation. Most of the holes are well thought out, but with the type of land offered here there are bound to be a few boring holes.

For being a relatively long, open course, the tees could be longer. I found myself starting my run-up behind the tee on most drives.

There is not much room to park and no bathrooms that I saw.

There is not much information on this course yet, but hopefully pictures, hole lengths and pars, and appropriate signage on the course will be added over time. This course will only improve as it gains more attention. Being only a mile off of I-70, I encourage anyone to make a stop here on their next road trip and hope that players in the Wheeling/Pittsburgh area start making the trip out to this course. It has a nice balance of shots and wooded/open holes and is great for any level of player.
