Dinky course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 24, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

Can be played in under an hour.
Right next to cottages (if you're staying in that part of Callaway Gardens)
Easy playing, might be good for kids.
Most holes require good aim and shot placement.

Cons:

Single chain baskets, plus they're just portable ones set up; only thing holding them in place is grass and weeds grown over the wire bases.
This course seems like an afterthought - just scatter some baskets in the woods ... especially in light of the fact that it's on the grounds of 2 gorgeous ball-golf courses ... disc golf gets a ratty overgrown little side area.
Also, the pictures someone posted here are NOT of the course in its current layout or location - Course moved perhaps?
Contrary to description, NO water on any holes.
No tee pads- unlike in the pics; just a post in the ground.
No fairways; it's all rough. Looks like they bush hog it maybe once every 6 months.

Other Thoughts:

I believe this course used to be nice, but got moved at some point, and whoever did the new layout used little imagination or effort to make it decent . It would be a good spot to work on your short game / putting, especially getting out of the woods and rough.

Nice little 9 holer 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Dec 2, 2017 Played the course:once

Pros:

It's another good addition to Callaway. The holes are short and begginer friendly, and you can rent discs if you don't have them or are bringing new player.

The baskets are sharp and the yellow band of the Innova baskets is easy to see on the wooded holes.

There are some challenging aspect, but should be a good time for just about any player.

The elevated tee pads are short, but nice and the gravel is grippy.

Cons:

It's short and they have the land for a good 18, but it's way better than nothing.

Honestly the only subtraction to me is the fact that it's not worth going just to play. We were there on a family outing and the quick play through was possible and paid for.

It's just a little too expensive to get into Callaway to go just to play the course.

Other Thoughts:

It's fun and another cool thing to do at an already fun family getaway.

It's not an all star course, but a welcome addition to an area without a lot of options.

Pitch & Putt Recreational 9 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jun 1, 2015 Played the course:once

Other Thoughts:

It's a little short for serious competitive golfers, but fun for recreational golfers.
Elevated Gravel Tees, with tee signs and Innova DISCatcher Sports.
The Wooded holes are still a little rough, but it is a new course, will get broke in with more play

Its a good extra amenity to the Callaway Beach. The park is pay to enter...I would pay to get in Callaway Beach because it is awesome, but I wouldn't pay just to play disc golf at this 9. If your going for a whole day, bring 3-4 discs and toss them around and enjoy the beach.
