Pros:

New Mach x baskets, with hole number on them. tee pads on some of the holes.

Cons:

Some of the tee signs are on the ground with no pads so unsure where to exactly tee off. Almost more of a safari style for couple holes. Hole 9 is weird basket is right by pad however you throw away down to mando and back. Getting little overgrown so trees blocking what are lines and tee boxes. Also some pins very close together look at basket number to make sure playing right one

Other Thoughts:

I love that there's a course here and they were super friendly. With a little tlc this course would go up a little bit. Hole 1 and 2 is dangerous as it goes over the parking lot. With all pads in and couple holes changed it wouldn't be to bad and my rating would go up

Only Course For Thirty Miles! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 14, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

The disc golf course at Sheltered Nook Bed and Breakfast is located just across the little dirt street from the cottages. There is a disc golf course sign out on the street. The course is definitely rustic recreation which is probably acceptable to the locals when the nearest course is 30 miles away.

The tee pads are packed gravel with a 2' x 4' border. The signs are the old school fiberglass models complete with the next tee. The baskets are Mach X with the wheels. They are set in some interesting positions.

The first hole throws across the guest's car to a basket stuck in the bushes. # 2 plays 289' along back along the same parked cars and down the dirt street. One of the cars happened to be mine so I threw very cautiously. # 3 is a cool little 177' shot needing a little anhyser. # 4 is a 227' hyser throw to a basket set between three large Fir trees. 5 plays 302' from a sign in the parking area across the field to a basket there. The sign post was leaning against a tree do I'm not sure if this was the correct tee pad area. I liked # 6. It's just a little shortie at 166' but the basket is blind from the tee and there are a couple of large Fir trees and all their low branches. I think you need to throw a roller here. The # 7 tee is stuck back in the bushes and you're throwing to a basket tucked into the bushes. # 8 plays a 172' anhyser shot to a basket placed near the woodpile. I was a little confused at # 9. The sign and pad say it's 175' straight ahead but the # 9 basket sits next to the pad about 10' away. Obviously the regulars have their own agenda here.

Cons:

I'm not exactly sure if the guests paying big money to stay here realize their vehicle is in the line of fire.

Mostly recreation distances.

No place to really air it out.

Confusion with # 9.

Signs don't always match where the baskets are currently placed.

Other Thoughts:

This is not bad for a little privately funded course. It plays as a fun little recreational course and I'm sure the local disc golfers are thrilled to have somewhere that's less than 30 miles away to play. I'm never as worried about safety concerns and if the owner here doesn't mind the occasional disc thumping someone's car, who am I to worry?

Small Meadow 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Feb 14, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

-mach x baskets
-crushed rock teepads
-maintained
-on the coast
-mix of different shots
-tee signs

Cons:

-work in progress
-fee: owned said he lets people play for free, but I stayed at the b&b.
-overlapping fairways, not much of a problem as you will likely have it all to yourself.
-mostly short holes, could be a pro for the clientele (rec)
-a couple tee signs a little too close to the front of the teepad
-no map, flow is a little confusing the first time; I figured out the orange cones are marking the mandos, but not 9's tee location
-flat

Other Thoughts:

it's a meadow on the coast with trees to break up the sea breeze.
hole breakdown:
#1 ~300ft big rhbh hyzer over the ob driveway with a mando right in the middle.
#2 another ~300ft rhbh hyzer with more (same) ob driveway; i was ob on both my rounds. the basket placement was right next to the driveway; I sure hope basket #2 moves to the tree tunnel that it was close to: it is just a perfect location for a basket.
#3 rhfh down a tunnel with a sharp right at the end. from the teepad it looks like you're going straight to #5's basket, but it's a sharp right before that.
#4 tee pad is pointing up the tunnel you just came down on 3, but there is a mando right, so it is a ~250 rhbh out and around.
#5 finally utilizes the big open meadow and it's the long one over 300ft, but there is a big tree right in front of the pad. luckily I have a sidearm to get it that far, but I'm not sure how a rhbh would negotiate the tree at the end of the pad.
#6 is a shortie, but has a tree wall about 75ft from the pad. there's a skip or roller line, but it had rained a lot and the ground was really soft. overhand is what I chose (thumber).
#7 teepad was not yet developed, but there was a sign on the ground so I teed next to it. rhfh to the basket tucked in on the right.
#8 teepad right next to #2's teepad, wide open with the basket tucked in a cluster of trees. when i was there the was a large woodpile behind the basket, and one of my putts entered the woodpile and I thought it was going to be lost, but I managed to fish it out.
#9 I couldn't figure out, so I teed from some random paint in the driveway. come to find out later the teepad next to #9s basket is it's teepad. I got this information after I had played: the original course before the baskets used hoops made from blue 55 gallon drums. I saw these and thought they were going to be added to the baskets to replicate the innova chastity belt. In honor of the old hoops #9 is going to play through one of these hoops at the end of the meadow, then back to the basket.

the meadow is one of the few courses on the oregon coast. it is a fairly small meadow and barely has room for 9 baskets. if you have other reasons to be in this area of the coast and have time, then stop in or stay at the b&b (it's right off 101).
