a buddy of mine painted my roc with paint pens and then clear coated it. It looks great (he's an artist and he painted a chinese dragon on it) but it's a wall hanger, not legal.
I am currently making my second bag and find that they are good conversation starters. Of course there are some who look down their noses at me but oh well. The one I am working on now is scavenged from an old messager type brief case and will be similar to the one sold as the "scrotum bag"...
I have to say my Comet- my giant arm buddy always mentions that the Comet is "money" for me.... but he never tries it. I assume the BIG arms need something that tries to cut down the trees instead of tracking through them!
Obviously I am pretty new to the game but I love my Z-Comet. OK, now the one that will get some haters: I received a Gateway Scout at our Ice Bowl and have found that it is awesome when you need a little more stable mid.
If you come down Hwy 63 you could hit the Ottumwa courses in Iowa, then possibly somwthing in Columbia MO and ten straight down to Rolla to Lion's Club; it's a great new course. After leaving Rolla you could shoot straight east to STL on I-44 and be at their courses in less than 2 hours.
Pearly green that I assume is yummy-gummy champ. Probably an 8? condition wise. I weighed it on a digital scale here at my 2nd job and it was 160 every time...then I hit the light in the right spot and could read that it's marked 157. No ink.
It's a 5X

c'mon now... help a brotha out! (oops.. i forgot that we're supposed to be all white college guys) so help a comrade in need! I may be open to a little heavier weights for the Star Stingray and would also be interested in a lighter Avenger SS
I would prefer to get all from one source to save on shipping. I need the lighter weights (except the wizard which would be trade-bait to 3putt) due to a weenie arm and bad shoulder...
I need a Star Stingray, 160-165 g. I have $25 in PayPal to spend. I would like the Stingray to be in pretty good condition (8.5+) but I don't care about ink. In addition I would like 1 or 2 mids. (DX flatter-top Roc, Comet in the 160 class, stiff, heavy Wizard, etc.) PM me with what you...
Guru Scott,
Now that I know there are other options what would you recommend for a mid? I liked the feel of the comet that I threw last week. I want something that is dead on straight but that I can hyzer/anhyzer if needed.
Hope you are having a good Thanksgiving in the north lands!
Thanks for the info. Scott- I think I threw too many heavy discs today and way too many forehands- the visitor had good info and was a big help but I need to stick with my lighter drivers for now!
Thanks Scott- I have been throwing a stingray a lot at LC and it works good for me on the drives (low and straight) but I love the Roc for approaches. I have a 150 class DX Rancho- are they really that much better in the heavier weights and are the different types really that much different? I...
So I guess I need to find another Roc- or learn how to throw the Buzz I have... off of that subject, what's your opinion of the Polecat and the Gazelle? Are they anything I would want to mess with?
Hey Scott- I have a rules question and you seem to be in the know (or at least know where to look)- is paint pen legal on a disc? A buddy of mine did a painting on my Roc and then clear coated it and it is sweeet! I just want to make sure it is legal.
