Happy 2018, everyone!
...Well, I'm even a bit late saying that. Sorry about all that.
But yes, dj, you won! Rather handily. Congrats to you, as well as to bnbanbury, and sidewinder22, in 2nd and 3rd, the only 2 players to finish somewhat close to dj.
Boy, that final prediction process was a...
Here we are.
Great final round by dg42, and a solid finish by dj. bnbanbury and myself did rather poorly in this round, but one of us made a solid set of gambles.

Yes 10 - Why do most people think no?
I guess I didn't restate about specifying how much you wanted to gamble. I'll probably assume you wanted to gamble 10 points on each, if you don't specify.
This is it.
MPO - Pick 2 players listed in Round 1, 2 players from the Quarterfinals, and 2 players from the Semis. You get 4 points for each round that each of your picks advances. If all of your players were to advance (actually impossible, as there are only 5 spots in the finals), you would...
You did actually get 1 point for this, because nobody picked Koling (1065) or Schultz (1072 final!). Sexton was first with 1062, 1060, and Jones was 2nd/3rd with 1059.
Here are the updated totals after USDGC. Looks like dj is wrapping up another winning season, though sw or bnbanbury could still swing a win if they all gambled the maximum and things fall the right way.
Good job, Sexton! Wish I'd have picked you instead of Lizotte (who has never played...
Back to the classic format for the classic event.
MPO - Pick 4 players. Your first player is your predicted winner.
1st Place - 10 points
2nd Place - 9 points
3rd Place - 8 points
4th Place - 7 points
5th Place - 6 points
6th Place - 5 points
7th Place - 4 points
8th Place - 3 points

Well, it doesn't benefit me (because I didn't pick Leiviska), but I think I will go ahead and drop the top 3 players, instead of the top 4. The intent was to get people to pick players other than McBeth, Wysocki, Lizotte, and (I guess) Sexton. This didn't work quite as planned because the event...
Since McBeth is out, I'm thinking about only dropping the top 3 spots, and 4th place gets max points. Nobody picked Paul, so I'm assuming that nobody would be too offended by this; Assuming that it doesn't hurt their score. Thoughts?
This has happened a couple of times this year, where the start date moves by a day from what was announced at the beginning of the year. I'll allow these last two submissions.
Here are the totals after Idlewild is entered. All 4 lowest rounds have been excluded now, since we're nearly done with the season. Can dj pull out a repeat even without ridiculous bonuses in play?
