The 22nd Annual Mad City Open is just two weeks away, on Saturday, August 23rd and Sunday, August 24th. This PDGA sanctioned Super Tour (A-Tier) and Wisconsin Disc Golf Tour tournament is one of the premier disc golf events in the Midwest.

You must be a current PDGA member at the time of the event in order to play. This year, the tournament will be contested on four courses, with each participant playing three of the courses. Hiestand Park and Vallarta-Ast (at Token Creek County Park) will once again be part of the rotation, but we are excited to add Bird's Ruins and Capital Springs to the mix this year. Registration for the event can be done in person (cash or check only) at Glide Disc Golf through next Friday August 15th, or through I Registered Online until 4:00 PM on Friday August 22nd ($10 late fee for registrations on or after August 16th). There will be NO on-site registration at the tournament. We already have 180 players registered, so don't wait and risk missing out on a spot.

This year's Amateur player pack will include two discs (or a stool, limited to 50, first-come first-served), a Dri-Fit shirt, towel, drawstring backpack, and other goodies. Pros and Amateurs who registered by August 1st will receive a Dri-Fit polo (in place of T-shirt for Amateurs). Amateurs who register by Monday August 11th will be guaranteed a Dri-Fit T-shirt of their selected size, while those who register on the 12th or later will get a shirt, but we can't guarantee your size will be available. Pros will be playing for a cash prize pool that includes at least $7,000 of added cash. All players will receive free food and drinks at the Friday evening player pack pick-up / information session and the Saturday evening Players Party at Token Creek.

If you can't make out to see the tournament in person, we're thrilled to announce plans for live streaming coverage of the event from Smashboxx.TV. Look for more details at Smashboxx.TV and the MCO website as the event draws closer.

We've waived the $10 late registration fee through Thursday. There is still the regular $5 IRO fee, but online registration is the only method left. As of last night, we're at 233 players and climbing.

253 and counting. Can still sign up tomorrow and Thursday w/out late fee. Don't wait though, three of the four pools have at least 64 players already.
