That was my first thought too, but no. The DDO is still on, they just brought back GBO as a AM only event in the traditional time slot that GBO has been in years ago.
I'm annoyed at the DD crew for the way they've done this. I can't play the DDO because it's a DGPT event for MPO/FPO, and I'm currently banned from playing FPO at DGPT events by DGPT policy.
I could play age-protected pro divisions, but nope, there aren't any of those at the GBO. It's ams-only.
Age-protected pros are SOL in Emporia in 2023.
Edit: by rating I could play MA3 at the GBO, but that's just absurd.

I'm old and out of the loop, so kinda asking questions.
I kinda sorta remember hearing that Bowling Green Ams had yet another meltdown and HB brought back the Pro/Am Bowling Green Open to salvage an event there. They had 600+ players last year so that event is solid.
Glass Blown pulled a lot of players away from Bowling Green Ams and by 2015 or '16 had pretty much replaced it as THE spring Am event even though it was Pro/Am.
So now they sorta switch; Glass Blown will be the Am-only event and Bowling Green (the event that can't seem to kill itself even though it tries on the regular) will be the Pro/Am?
