Bandemer bridge reconstruction update: The vehicular and pedestrian bridges at Bandemer Park near the Barton Drive entrance, will be under construction this fall. The first phase of the project will involve the temporary closure of the bridge the week of Aug. 29 (a specific date has yet to be determined but social media will be updated) where construction equipment will be staged. The temporary closure is weather dependent and may change based on forecast. Phase two begins Tuesday, Sept. 6 when both bridges will be closed until the project is completed in late fall. We apologize for the inconvenience, and ask that visitors to Bandemer Park access the location via Lake Shore Drive/Main Street, or the Border-to-Border trail.
