I have tried Prodigy, I want to try trilogy next! Build me a five disc bag of the best stuff!

My thought:
  • Shield
  • Compass
  • Saint
  • (Over stable fairway?)
  • High speed, max driver?

Yes, this is more than five discs. Select your best five from my choices...

Half my bag is Trilogy. My own All-Trilogy Bag would be:

Classic Warden
Opto Pure
Compass
Gold Line River (maybe Opto River as well for more OS/Flex shots)
Gold Line Saint
Gold Line Fury (understable/rollers)
Gold Line Flow
Fuzion Renegade
Freedom (?)

For you and your farther-throwing arm:

Warden/Judge, base plastic
Opto Pure/Lucid Judge (bead being the main difference there)
Compass
Mace, Pain or Verdict (overstable mid)
River
Spark (like my Banshee)
Saint
Fury
Culverin
Flow
Scythe or Cutlass

VIP Sword
Opto Saint
VIP Bard
Opto Claymore
BT Hard Shield

For your power, this would work pretty well in most conditions.

Here's what I would do. It's a but heavy on the slow-end, but I am not a long thrower, so I don't have a huge collection of distance drivers. I completely believe in the "it's all about the second shot" mentality.

  • Pure - GL or Opto for putt, approach, and drive
  • Harp - Excellent for utility shots
  • Compass - All around goodness
  • River or Saint - Very controllable fairway drivers
  • Renegade - I stop at fairways typically, but I like this one

If I give two on a single line, it is because they will fill mostly the same spot in the bag and which one just depends on which feels better in your hand

Really, it is all about personal preference for feel here. Maybe Judge or Pure
Mace since you throw a Roc according to your signature line
Felon for overstable fairway/get out of trouble disc
Saint or Escape
King
Plastic is whatever you prefer based on feel, but I like the Lucid/Opto/Vip the best of the Trilogy plastics

Shield
Harp
Claymore
Escape
Sword? Not really personally familiar with this slot in trilogy discs

The River flies for ever. Excellent low ceiling choice if this is a shot you come across

I got you!

Putter (what do you use now? recommend Mercy or Judge. both are good for put and approach. Mercy is beadless. Both Dynamic Discs)
Mids : Dynamic Discs Fluid Truth (Lat64 Compass is the other very good choice here)
Fairways : Dynamic Discs Felon (firebird slot) + Westside Seer (leopard slot)
Drivers : Westside VIP Sorcerer (Champ Tern)

Those five will get you up and down anywhere.

If you want to round out your bag from there -

Understable Mid : Westside Tursas (Meteor)
Overstable Mid : Dynamic Discs Verdict (Hornet)
Straight Fairway : Westside Stag (Teebird)
Overstable Driver : Dynamic Discs Defender

Any bag from Trilogy without a Bard is failsauce.

I'd do
Goldline River
Opto XXX (assuming you have a forehand)
Truth or VIP Warship
VIP Bard
BT Hard Shield

I am not a Trilogy fan at all but the Bard and XXX are freaking awesome. The Shield is a good putter and BT Hard is an awesome plastic. A lot of people love the River and I have seen it fly so beautifully. The Truth or Warship to me seems from my limited throws of both like a good fairway/ mid tweener that should be workable.

Judge
Truth Emac
XXX
Escape (haven't tried many of their fairway drivers besides the escape)
Giant

This actually seems like a great five disc bag to me.

Best guess:
The Putter - Opto Pure (I'd go with a non-premium plastic putter normally with a 5 disc limit I'm going with a great throwing putter that should still putt okay too).

The Mid - Bard or Verdict probably. The Pure is a mini-Buzzz so you just need something with a bit more beef for easy ranging.

The FW Driver - VIP Seer. This is slow and flippy and a great L>R disc.

The Meathook - Opto xXx, flatter the better.

The Max D - Saint if you love Valks and narrower rims. Sword if you like something more Wraith-speed. Trespass if you like a beat in Destroyer/solid FH disc. King or Freedom if you want to dare for distance greatness but occasionally turn and burn in ignominy.

My personal bag would be: Judge, Evidence, xXx, Sword and Giant.
