Columbus ball golf course now DG course

Walnut Hills. It's long (maybe one under 300' from the shorts) and mostly open but with plenty of trees to navigate. Surrounding area is a bit sketchy, but the course has huge potential.

What do you mean surrounding area is a bit sketchy. Have a hard time believing that an golf course would be in da hood..

I really love this kind of golf and hope to get up their come spring!

It was a city owned 9 hole course, and yes, it is in da hood. There are worse parts of town to be sure, but the apartments bordering the course on the east are full of people you probably don't want to hang out with...

Sounds similar to Dunham in Cincinnati. We now have a nice course on an old 9 hole ball golf course. But it certainly is in the hood. Know we've had a few issues with car break ins and such.

Dunham is a fun course, the new one in Columbus looks pretty challenging from the pictures on here... Old ball golf courses give you a lot of room to work with.

They just hosted the Arnold Disc event this weekend at Walnut Hills, so you can see some pdga ratings. There are also some reviews on here...;) :D
