Me and a few friends are going on a trip tomorrow to knock out the courses in Asheville, NC that we haven't played. Well be coming down from Johnson City, TN. We were also looking for some shops. We know of the Play it Again Sports down there, but was wondering if there we any other good dealers (No Dicks, Walmart, etc.) in the area? ESPECIALLY looking for places that sell used discs.

Our planned courses if anyone has any suggestions on those.

1st Enka High School - warmup (a few ace runs)
2nd Richmond Hills - main reason we are coming down
3rd Avery's Spring or Mars Hill - if we can get into AS we'll do that but if not well just hit up MH on the way back to Johnson City.

Thanks guys appreciate it!

The 18 at Black Mountain is a great warm up course with lord of ace runs.

You could stop at Alpine Sports in Banner Elk. It's pretty much on your way, last year they had around 200-250 discs on the wall.

Black Dome Outdoor Sports store used to have discs. Have not been there in a long time.

Awesome thanks man! So you would recommend Black Mtn over Enka?

Another vote for Black Mountain over Enka.

And just wait until you get to Asheville to eat, and then go to Asheville Pizza and Brewing and get a pitcher of Shiva.

Tupelo Honey Cafe in Asheville is the best place to eat in down town Asheville in my opinion. Black dome sports disc selection isnt very good. Ive also heard that the PIAS employees gobble up all of the OOP treasures. Just a thought...

Yea, Black Dome still has a decent selection of Innova discs. REI has like 7. Toe River Lodge (Plum Tree) has a ton of used discs.

Thanks for all the advice guys! We had an awesome time. I even got a sweet skip ace (#3 at Black Mtn). Really appreciate your guys insight and well definitely have to make another trip down there again!

Hey if your ever near the bottom of the mountains in NC you should check out the Morganton course at Catawba Meadows, and the Zipline company at the park has discs for sale cheap. Our next tourney is on Oct. 27th, bring canned goods for mulligans for the local food bank.
