DGCR Aces 2022

Got my first ace ever today! There is a temporary course set up for ArtPrize 2022 here in Grand Rapids, MI ( https://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=13435 ). The hole I aced is about 100' and looks like a metal cow with the center cut out (just look at the course page if you're scratching your head ;) ). Not the most difficult course by any means, and it will probably be gone in 2 weeks, but there was a defined tee area and a defined target so I'm counting it! The other funny part was that I threw a disc that was not mine, but rather was borrowing from the bin of available discs at the course - a Westside Discs Swan. Hoping for an ace on a normal course some day soon. :)

My son aced the Monster on a practice shot, caught here on our GoPro: https://youtu.be/cqhWtzOG7ow?t=334

I have heard of a black ace, I have heard of a grey ace........a hey now brown cow ace???

First forehand ace today on #12 at Hudson Park DGC with a VIP Chameleon Stag. This is my eighth ace since I started playing in April of this year. Unfortunately, this one was a "Sure, Jan..."

Correction... Seventh ace. I must have had "8" on my mind, because I hit the cage on #8 just a few holes prior. Hopefully I didn't just jinx myself!

Ace #4 for me. 331' Hole 7 at New Swope in KCMO. Story: was playing a bag swap round with mdavis214, I had given him this Crave yesterday (swapped for a Luster Invader).
First toss of it for the round it goes straight in on forehand hyzer. So I went and bought him another Crave to get my ace disc back.

Just to jinx myself for tomorrow, I've thrown an ace a day this weekend. All fairly short, but unusual to go 'daily'. Friday C tier hole 15 at the new Woodland Mound, Saturday at the Gateway Proto Run for the Ace, with the BEEFY prototype they put out, on a very shortened hole 9 at Boone Woods, then today, in a League round, back at Woodland Mound, first time I've gotten hole 8 there (233'). :)

Geez, leave some for the rest of us.

Nice. Lol, at my current rate, 22 is only 50 years away.

What's the farthest you high acers ever got one in?

Forgot to mention my ace when it happened.
No time like the present.
So on July 17, I threw career ace #36, on a hole I've aced before (Johnson Park, GR, hole #11), with the very same disc (Z Buzzz) I used to ace it previously. So I guess one could say this disc knows the way. This was the 5th ace on this disc to date. The other three aces on this disc were all at Civic Center (Auburn Hills, MI) on the same day.
Would hate to ever lose this disc, so I'm thinking about retiring it, but I can't help but feel it still has more aces in it.

On Sunday I was bagging courses with @darkgreen in Eau Claire, WI. Stepped up to the first tee at the Northstar Middle School course: 220' and open, slightly uphill.

Threw BH with a flat top DX Roc, flipped it up to flat and it impressively fought a pretty substantial right-to-left wind. Finally faded just enough to find the chains.

I thought I had you beat, but I'm at about 3800 holes. My goal was just two this year, and time is running short. I'll join you :wall:

Whoo hooo, got one the next day after posting that I was skunked for the year! :D
Hole #23 at Calumet Lake DGC (Calumet, MI), short tee, red position.
It's only 170', but the line to get to the basket is really tricky and requires an overstable forehand thrown on anny (forehanded an Excaliber).
7th year in a row of getting at least one.
