Probably. I'm not sure how they would enforce it otherwise. It was linked off of the local course's page as the "rules" so who knows if they enforce it.

I read that too on the website of a local golf courses offering footgolf.

But... When I read it... It read as being a little "cheeky" in the writing.

You know... Ask for it, in a way with a smile. Wether they get patrons coming in argyles is beside the point. It suggests that they are looking for classy, but fun. It's like encouraging your office staff to attend a social event with matching vests. You as the organizer might get it, you won't fire anyone if they don't, but if you don't ask.... You won't get it.

For footgolf I bet they would otherwise get phone calls asking about dress code. Better to get out ahead of it and make it a "fun" thing instead of a policy answer.
