We are excited to present the 11th Annual Discers-4-Whiskers(R) pet food fundraiser on September 4th at Johnson Street Park in High Point NC where we held the first Discers 4 Whiskers(R) event back in 2011!! Once again we will have a BYOP (Bring Your Own Partner) format and this year we are also offering disc golf teams the option of qualifying for the USDGC Doubles in Rock Hill SC!!!
2020 was a record fundraising year and this year, again with YOUR help we plan on helping feed even more critters in the Piedmont Triad area! The entry fee this year is $25* per player plus a bag of pet food per player and for those teams qualifying for the USDGC Doubles please add $10** per player. ALL players will receive a premium custom stamped Discers-4-Whiskers(R) Disc and a 'whisker bag' with one free raffle ticket and additional items to be announced. We will have multiple molds of premium custom stamped Discers 4 Whiskers(R) discs - first come first served. Trophies will be awarded for first, second & third place "Discers" only teams and USDGC winning teams will be awarded medals and an invitation to the USDGC doubles event in Rock Hill SC October 1st-3rd!!! The additional $10 fee for USDGC Qualifiers goes directly to and pays for a custom stamped disc from the USDGC with a retail value of $19!! All "Discers" teams will play a mix of White/Blue tees and all "USDGC" teams will play a mix of Blue/Gold tees. Layouts & scorecards will be posted on our FB event page. "Discers 4 Whiskers(R)" teams may purchase individual mulligan's, 1 for $5 or 3 for $10.
We will also be holding TWO raffles again this year. The "BIG WHISKER" raffle filled with generous donations of gift cards and items from generous local businesses including restaurants, entertainment, services and disc golf related items the day after the 11th Annual Discers-4-Whiskers(R) pet food fundraiser. Raffle tickets are one for $5, 3 for $10, seven for $20 with the "BIG WHISKER" being 20 raffle tickets for $50!! We will also have a putting skills contest for an additional $10 entry fee with a 50% payout to our contest participants and the other 50% will be used to procure pet food. All players are invited to test your putting skills any time the day of the event and participants will have a chance to win some cash and help raise money to feed critters. Putting stations will be marked from 25ft, 35ft and 45ft and players will have a total of 15 putts from their station(s) of choice. Made putts from station #1 are worth 2 points. Made putts from station #2 are worth 4 points and made putts from station #3 are worth 6 points. The top three scores will split 50% of the total money raised in the putting skills contest. The player with the most total points will win 25%, second place will receive 15% and third place will receive 10% of the total funds raised. Putting skills contest payment can be made the day of the event.

The winning USDGC team/s qualify to play in the US Doubles Championships in Rock Hill at Winthrop Gold the weekend before USDGC.
USDGC Quailfier teams consist of amateur teams only (based on PDGA player status - see eligibility section below). If your PDGA status is not amateur, contact the PDGA about getting it switched.
Qualifier Requirements:

· Entry fee is $50 minimum per team.
o 0-14 teams = 1 Team qualifies
o 15-24 teams = 2 Teams qualify
o 25+ teams = 3 Teams qualify
· All skill levels are encouraged to participate and will receive a disc, but only the top amateur teams will be eligible to qualify for and participate in the main event.
Player Eligibility:
· All players must meet one of the following criteria in order to be eligible to compete in the USDGC Doubles Main event:
o Player is not a PDGA member or does not have a player rating and has never accepted cash in a PDGA event.
o Player has an Amateur Player Classification with the PDGA - meaning the player is classified as an amateur and plays in amateur divisions for prizes instead of cash. If a player plays in a Pro division and accepts cash at any time, they become classified as a Professional member. An Amateur class player has either never accepted cash, or if they have, they have later met the criteria to be reclassified from Professional back to Amateur with the PDGA.
· A mixed group of pro and am class players is not allowed.
· Players who qualify as a team must play together as a team in the main event. No substitutions no exceptions.
· All qualified players must register online by Sunday, September 12th. No exceptions.
