Just sort of a rant: Played at this course when I was in CO for the weekend. Brought my friend who had never played before. On hole 1 there was a mom and her two little kids (m and f) just chillin in the fairway. We asked them politely to move as we didn't want to hit them, they complained then finally moved about 15 feet to the left. We told them this was still a dangerous place to be and they ignored us. I go first off the tee, park it 10 feet from basket. My friend (first time throwing) early releases a backhand Roc3 and it goes right into the little girl (not crazy fast luckily). 100% an accident, we would never do something like that on purpose. The mom thought we did it on purpose and I explained how it was my friends first time and they were in the fairway when we asked them to move. She told my friend this wasn't his sport and to never play again. She was swearing like a sailor to us in front of her children. F that lady. Poor kids.

Long time disc golfer and generally considerate person here. Please keep in mind that Edora, like many non-pay-to-play DG courses around the country, is located in a public park. Nothing about the course gives golfers any more or less right to the space than anyone else. It's no fun when a fairway is cluttered with non-golfers, but your friend literally threw something and hit a little girl. While I'm sure he had no intention of hitting her, he still made a choice to throw something in her direction, and he is responsible for that choice, and his choice made the world a slightly worse place (for the little girl, for her mother, for himself and you, and for all disc golfers whose image with the general public takes a hit every time something like this happens). Next time there are people in harm's way who won't move (for whatever reason), please consider skipping the hole and playing it at the end when you get back around. The world will be a better place if you do <img src="https://www.dgcoursereview.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif" class="inlineimg" border="0">
