Its time to start getting your plans in order to get down to San Antonio, Texas December 3 - 5, 2010 for the FLY INK OPEN. This is an A Tier event for Open divisions and a B Tier event for Amateur divisions. Guaranteed $1500 minimum added cash to the Open divisions for the tourney purse, plus another $1000 for a post tournament 9 hole skins match. The San Antonio Disc Club is actively working to increase the added cash and we'll keep you posted on our Facebook page as to the status. The first 75 amateur players to signup will get an amazing player's pack valued at a minimum of $55. The player's packs will include at least 2 discs and a shirt.

This tournament is also the finale of the 2010 Alamo Disc Series so in addition to the added cash mentioned above, there will be an estimated $1000 in additional bonus payouts.

Pre-Registration is required for this event. Since this event is in December daylight is at a premium. REGISTRATION CLOSES ON FRIDAY DECEMBER 3, 2010. Players are encouraged to register and pay on the official tournament registration website of the 2010 Alamo Disc Series, titleDISC.
Open Players may register at: http://www.titledisc.com/node/3484
Amateur Players may register at: http://www.titledisc.com/node/3485
NOTE: ENTRY FEES INCREASE BY $5 AFTER NOVEMBER 1, 2010.

All per the San Antonio Disc Club's usual procedures we'll have CTP's galore, a huge raffle, tons of games, and lots of shenanigans.

We'll be playing the beautiful Live Oak Park disc golf course (all 38+ holes of it) & the challenging Bryan McClain Park disc golf course.

If you have any questions, contact Tournament Director Scott Hougland @ [email protected] or (210) 896-9498.

Here's how the skins match will work (tentative) ...
Top 4 scores from all Open Divisions + Advanced Men get an automatic entry into the skins match (these are all the groups playing from the long tees). 1 Additional entry will be raffled off for a spot in the skins match. Skins raffle tickets will be $5 each and you can by as many tickets as you want. The Raffle Skins tickets will go on sale soon and will be sold up until just after the end of the 3rd round. The drawing will take place just prior to the skins match.

Registrations are starting to come in and the players list is up. The Open Men/Women divisions are already looking good!

This is going to be the biggest and BEST event the San Antonio Disc Club has ever hosted. If you live in Texas or will be in the area, you wont want to miss it!

Remember, pre-registration is required for this event. Plus, the entry fee is $5 less if you register before November 1st.

Players are encouraged to register and pay on the official tournament registration website of the 2010 Alamo Disc Series, titleDISC.

Here's a link to the draft version of the player information booklets. All of this info is subject to change (although hopefully only a little bit changes) but this gives you all a good feel for what courses you'll be playing, in what order, etc.

Fly Ink is getting good press over at pdga.com on the frontpage. It's being called the Texas Two Step along with the A-Tier at the Lindsey courses the following week.

Get signed up now or it's going to be too late!

Don't forget, about Friday's BYOP(artner) doubles!

Meet at Tournament HQ (Live Oak Poolhouse). Tee-off starts at 1:00pm and the last card needs to finish by 6:00pm. Price is $20/team Pro (cash payout) and $10/team Non-Pro (plastic payout).

Also, Friday is your last chance to register and pay. There will be no "day-of" registrations or payments accepted on Saturday, since daylight is an issue and we'll want to get started without any unneeded delays.

See, y'all then!!! Get psyched, this tourney's gonna rock!!!

Awesome first day of the Fly Ink Open! Brad Williams sits atop the leaderboard in the Open Mens and Liz Lopez is out front in the Open Women's competition.

The reason the Open payout looks funny is that the skins match was included. Double G won $700 and Anthony Daman won $300.

The Fly Ink Open was also the finale for the San Antonio Disc Series (7 tournaments, I think) and the bonuses were included in the calculations for those who qualified.
