Maybe learning golf driving lefty so your right leg does the bracing, that should make it easier to brace for a disc drive.
I just focus on pushing upwards with my front leg after and during the swing and keeping my upper body behind my front leg, even leaning my upper body weight into my hip a little.
There was this video that explained how squatting then becoming more upright and stiffening the brace leg and leaning back a little bit during a drive would accelerate the arm and help to brace. Maybe Sidewinder knows what im talking about.
