So what's the story on the Lucketts' course (Freedom Center at Elijah's Gate or something)? There was a lot of talk about it opening up this year and needing to contact the LoCo guys to play it in the interim but now I hear nothing. My job just recently moved from Maryland to Herndon and I drive through Lucketts several days a week.

The Freedom Center course (or now referred to as Clarks Run Disc Golf Course) is not quite ready for plat, but is available. The concrete tee pads are still being installed by the LoCo guys...so we have not listed it yet as it's really not ready for review as yet. Imagine several holes of concrete/gravel/tools etc (still) need to be hand wheel barrelled in over a 1/2 mile of wooded/hilly terrain. It's taking quite an effort to complete the course set up. The group is almost there. Most holes now have a concrete pad. The inaugural tourney has been listed on DiscGolfScene in case of interest: https://www.discgolfscene.com...Memorial_2018
As such, there's a lot of activity to get it ready for tournament play. No real signage is available yet. Which at the moment makes average play tough for first timers. The course is looking like it will be over 7300 - 7400 feet in a rolling hilly/wooded terrain. It is sure to challenge most seasoned veteran DGers. The hope is to set it up so that it takes around a 1000 rating to beat par.
The LoCo guys are truly working hard on this, they're almost there. Give them a couple more weeks. You can check out their progress on the Facebook page.

Hole 6 has been restored! Yay! The blue tee for no. 7 has been relocated, now in line with white and red on the left side of hole 7. From the looks of things, the construction completion happened quite awhile ago. Sorry if I am repeating someone else's announcement!
