Random Doubles Tournament

Come out to HJ Carroll and join some local folks playing disc golf you don't need to be an experienced good player to have a lot of fun and even win some $
All you need: just bring your own disc' and a $5 entree fee to play in the tournament this will go towards the winning pot.
Random Doubles Description: participants will gather in a circle to flip a disc, much like a coin. until all players are paired into twos. this begins again to pair your team with a challenging team. Your team and the challenging team will then be dispersed to your starting tees. The tournament will now begin. the team that score the best on the previous hole will be the first to tee off. Best Shot In best shot doubles, both players will throw at each lie, starting at the tee shot. Then after each succession of throws your team will choose which lie to take your next shot from. Your team will continue to throw and choose your best lie together until the hole is completed. Each team will be given a reasonable amount of time to choose which lie to throw from. If a disc is picked up without being marked it is considered out of play.
Pay out: This will depend on the number of participants, if there are 15+ players there will be a first, second and third place pay out. The 3rd place team will win $5 each, they will break even. The 2nd place team will win $10 each, they will double their money. The 1st place team will split the rest of the pot, which will be no less than $45. Under 15 players there will be a first and second place pay out. The 2nd place team wins $5 each, they will break even. The 1st place team will split the rest. under 8 players there will be only a first place team. The 1st place team splits the whole pot.
The Course: Number of holes: 9 we will play though twice to make a 18 hole game. Teepad type: Gravel Target type: Baskets.
The course has three wooded holes to provide players with additional obstacles, and six open holes allow for some long drives. It is designed to be a family course, so it's appropriate for beginners but still provides plenty of challenge to the experienced player.
Local Directions: If you are north of the park: Head south on SR 20 towards Chimacum. HJ Carroll Park is on the left a half mile before Chimacum School. If you are South of the park: Head north on Hwy 3; cross over Hood Canal Bridge SR 104 west. Go 6 miles to a right towards Pt. Townsend/Chimacum Beaver Valley Rd. Stay on hwy into town - go straight throw the 4 way intersection then its 1 more mile on the right you'll see the sign for HJ Carroll Park.
