He married into the family that owned the property. Together with his wife Tina they purchased it from her uncle. He built the course and was well supported by the disc golf community until we found out who he really was. Tina has decided to close the course and sell the baskets. I was only sharing that info for her.

For the same reason people grow pot and set up meth labs in National Parks: because there's money to be made

40 mature plants @ $2.5K/plant = $100K for one crop. Two crops a year with hydroponics = $200K. Not exactly chump change in an economically depressed area.

Gonna need hellalotta dg players dropping by to make that kind of scratch.

The point I was trying to make was..... this guy spent a ton of time building what looks to be an amazing course. Why would you want to put that land in jeapordy? His land will probably be seized. Do it at a friends house, buy a crappy piece of land and do it underground away from prying eyes....... I don't know?
